Very difficult teacher would never take her again. I signed up for phelps but got her cause valencia changed my teacher... Try to get phelps best teacher there is for college algebra.

Comment:

She grades hard! Three quarters of the class dropped out by the time finals came around. She taught fairly well and was mostly clear, but the grading was insane. I used a synonym once, but she marked it wrong cause I didn't use her word which wasn't even a term. She came across a little rude, but that was dismissable. I wouldn't take her again.

Shes not one of those professor that cares about the students. She skipped it the first two chapter. When u have question a lot of the time she wound be like u should already know this. Lecture was like reading from the book. Overall very bad learning experience. I had to skipped class a lot to really learn.

She's an alright professor but the only thing that I would change is her grading....it's hard. She takes off points for the littles things and if you think your right you'd have to go to her office for her to change it. Not a horrible professor, but she is changeling and a lot of people dropped her class. This is NOT one of those easy A classes. But had her for calculus and she gives you a calculator for free just bring batteries:) overall study from the first day and you could easily get a B.

She is an absolutely wonderful professor. She does a very clear and thorough job of explaining topics, and her notes are very useful. She does not collect homework, but she has frequent quizzes to assure that you understand the material. She takes an interest in her students and has a high availability (office hours) for questions if you have them.

She definitely knows her Calculus! Her notes are by far some of the most useful I've ever written down. Her tests on the other hand are not easy. You need to study for sure. Go to the tutoring center with your notes and book. ASK QUESTIONS! She takes off a lot of small points on tests that add up quickly. All in all great professor.

Always late. Skips over difficult subjects while spending forever on the easier material. Will hold you after class to make up for her tardiness. Test take much longer than the class time provided for it. Don't bother taking her class if you have a job and don't have time to study daily.

Tests are nothing but curveballs. either over explains or under explains and is not very helpful. Randomly takes off points on tests because you didnt defend your answer, even when its not asked. No make up quizzes or tests. Honestly doesnt care about student sucess.

Super good teacher. Gives you work but not too much. I Hate calculus, she made it understandable and i got an A! I barely passes algebra in high school and failed trig miserably, so i was not looking forward to calc, but she did a great job. she will go out of her way to make sure you understand the content.

A great teacher, tries to make the topics fun. Will do whatever she can to help you learn. Will answer questions until you understand. Is available during office hours and outside them also. Answers e-mails quickly even on the weekends. She is not easy, must do the hwrk to pass. No real surprises on tests.

I took Mathematics for the liberal arts in summer and earned an A. This teacher is extremely nice and helpful. Writes thorough notes on the board and explains everything in great detail. There are worksheets to be turned in as hmwk and she will go over assigned hmwk problems the class after it was assigned. I loved this teacher and I hate math.

I took her class for summer Mathematics for the Liberal Arts. She may talk a lot and repeat herself. But her tests are never on anything unexpected, just make sure you know how to explain yourself. Some extra credit. She'll answer any question you ask. Used book a lot in class and for homework.

Lectures are exclnt and clear. Sadly she is punitive & inflexible. Tests throw curveballs not on hndts or hw.Req long answers on math questions and is looking for wording to meet her exact specifications that students are not privy to until after test. Her lectures are INCREDIBLY boring and slow. I felt like I was wasting my time. I would do the homework and worksheets she would assign, get 100% on quizzes, and STRUGGLE through tests. Her final was the most frustrating. What she gives for review, ISN'T on the final! Emphasizes on volumes in last week of class.

She does not do reviews. Her exams are extremely difficult, the questions don't come from homework or quizzes or her lecture, they are just random things that she makes up. She is not good at explaining the concepts either. If you are weak in math, trust me...do NOT take her.

Okay its calculus, its gonna be hard no matter what. I honestly rarely opened the book, I felt like when she taught it I understood perfectly and then when i open my book to review it was a whole other language! Used only my notes and the worksheets. Always encouraged to visit her during her office hours. Got a C, but would still recommend her!

She reminds me of ms garrison from south park. Does handouts that she thinks that will help you for the test its 100 points out 400 of your grade but really only the text book will help you. She doesnt help during class as much but sometimes in her office hours which are limited. So if you fall behind that really sucks.. Its easy to fall behind

TEACHING METHOD ISN'T THE GREATEST! IF YOU'RE LATE SHE WILL NOT ACCEPT YOUR WORK. NOT VERY HELPFUL. DOES GIVE EXTRA CREDIT. ACTUALLY LAUGHED AT A STUDENT WHEN SHE SAID SHE STILL DIDN'T UNDERSTAND THE WORK. SHE HAS OFFICE HOURS BUT, YOU'RE RUSHED IF OTHERS STUDENTS TAKE UP MORE TIME.
