Kemp is hilarious and definitely has a humor but be careful because if you don't know how to answer her questions then she might roast you. however, go to classes, take advantage of that extra credit and study her slides. She lets you work in groups for quizzes and literally allows you to use a whole page for a cheat sheet.

Do not skip class. Her lecture contains different info than the book. Her tests are based off of her lecture. Thankfully she allows "cheat sheets" for tests. Keep them as you create them during the semester because she will allow you to use them on the final. YOU WILL LEARN VALUABLE INFO FROM THIS CLASS! I enjoyed the class, but not an easy A.

Comment:

Definitely one of the best professors I've had. At first, she seems intimidating and could come off as rather sarcastic. However, a few weeks in I learned to love her sarcasm because of the fact that she is an impressive communicator. There are a lot of quizzes but she lets you use cheat sheets. Funnest business class I've taken (which says a lot)

This was a very interesting class and probably my favorite so far. Kemp is an awesome teacher if you make the effort to participate and communicate with her. If not, she may come off a little rude. You are allowed a double sided cheat sheet for each test, which is entirely based on her PowerPoints and study guides. Go to class and it's an easy A.

Comment:

Kemp is a great professor she wants her students to learn material that applies to the real world and not just to pass tests. It's refreshing to have a professor that encourages students to discuss/analyze the material instead of lecture & powerpoints every day (boring!) quizzes are almost everyday short 5-7Q open book/notes/neighbor

Kemp is a firecracker. She tends to pick on students who aren't paying attention. Small group projects throughout the semester. I think she tries to keep the class awake with the group projects because the material is just so boring. But, it was my second time taking BA18 and passed. I enjoyed her sense of humor-- she tries to make this class fun.

Shes super smart, and expects students to earn the grade they receive. her personality is great too. If you have over a full load, dont take her, but if you have like 10 or 12 units, do it! Shes the one who has inspired me to go to law school. great professor!

Top 3 worst professors I've had. I didn't miss a single class, assignment, quiz or exam. At the end of the semester I needed just a few more points to get a C and she told me tough luck. She doesn't know what shes talking about half the time. Don't bother asking a question in class unless you want her to embarrass you in front of the class.

You can easily pass the class an A if you figure out her system of grading. EVERY SINGLE question, word for word, is in the Gliem book. So dont even buy the lecture book. Just memorize the gliem questions and youll get at least an 80% on every test. Her assignments arent that bad as long as you follow the directions. I learned nothing and got an A.

She is a great lawyer, but falls short as a teacher. She regularly came to class with an attitude, and often belittled students who struggled with the material. She assigned pages of single-spaced case problems weekly. HUGE work load. AVOID HER!!!

Class is bearable. Professor is not. She is VERY unorganized. Depends on students to remind her what was said in lecture on discussion board. Picks on students. Huge workload for the 4 unit class. Individual assignments then group assignment on the same assignment!

She was unclear about what she wanted and often forget to "show" reading materials/ paper requirements on Blackboard, e.g. for the research project which was later scrapped. The Prelaw student got a D on an exam. She would pick on students at times, but often cracked jokes. She ultimately wants students to gain knowledge for use in the real world.

Tests and papers are easy. Those multiple questions are directly from a textbook. However, she gives us too many assignments and sometimes she doesn't even grade. Besides, papers are less worth 30 points out of 400 though you have to write more than 2000words. Don't take this class if you have to other demanding classes.

This teacher is the worst professor i've taken. I never complain about teachers but this one is extremely mean. Her classmates are terrified because she yells at you if you don't know an answer and on top of that she makes you have name tags like you're in kindergarden. she's also the worst teacher when it comes to organization. this class is something else!! The teacher always says passive learning isnt learning but she tends to answer her own questions,. I didn't like this class much cause she seems like she cares but when U go and vist her in her office she always insults your intelagence there's like no understanding!! The textbook is a must. She doesn't take role but if you don't show up to class, you're gonna be lost. She expects a lot from her students. I, sometimes think that she's rude. Exams are extremely easy cause it's directly from the book.

This teacher is a well established lawyer. She knows a lot about law but has no idea how to teach it. She lectures like you should have known these things your whole life. Her multiple choice test are very easy, b/c they are taken straight out of the book, but other assignments are unclear on the directions.
