Ms. Renault graduated from St. John's. Unquestionably Smart. Her personal focus is on arguably arcane and minor elements of the readings. No more helpful than the average tutor. Nice; but not warm.

I had Renault for freshman seminar; she made those conversations what they were. A tough tutor, not hesitant to criticize or reprimand her students, the questions she asked have lingered with me long after the discussions ended.

I can understand easily how she alienates students during class. I recall frequently cursing her under my breath. However, in the years since I find that her questions have stayed with me, while those of other tutors were forgotten quickly. She asks a lot of her students, and I'm not sure if she's fair, but she's damn smart.

This woman is unbelievable. She has actually ferretted personal details about students' home and financial problems and brought them into academic discussions. Respected---not sure why. Should be teaching at another type of university, does little to foster intellectual life at St. John's.

Wicked smart. Genuinely engaged. Not the best at not letting a couple of students run off with a discussion. Seems to try to figure out people's psychology to determine strategies of interacting one-on-one, which is a little annoying, but well meant.

Mrs. Renaut owns. One of the most engaged tutors I had at SJC -- she asks all the hard questions.
