Best professor you can take at CSI. It will be your mistake if you don't take her. She makes sure you understand the concepts and is very lenient with her projects. She will allow you to go beyond the assigned projects for extra credit. Her exams are easy if you can follow along with the material.

Comment:

She's very sweet and truly cares about the student. She explains the material well, but that doesnt mean the material is easy. No homeworks unless you don't finish the work in lab. She lets you work in groups, making the load easier. Gives a clear review for exams and quizzes are low-stakes. Very accessible outside of class!

She is a great professor and does a great job teaching the material. She does take off points if you make a tiny mistake but that is how you learn, she is a very nice lady. As long as you make an effort to learn the material you will get a good grade.

Sturm is by far one of the best female professors I've ever had! She truly encourages you to go beyond. If you don't understand something, she will be glad to explain to you again. Her tests are fair, so as long as you study, you'll do fine.

YOU MUST STUDY HARD!! computer science is not easy but over all...she makes the class fun at times. Study your notes too because her exam/quizzes are from lectures. Def take her if you love programming so much. One good thing about her she always replies back in emails. She's also a sweet heart.

Dr Srurm is one of the best professors I've ever had. Her lectures are extremely informative, and is always happy to answer a question. She teaches the logic and algorithm behind the code so you can actually adapt it and use it in real life situations vs just giving you things to memorize. 2 exams, 10 quizzes, 5 labs and a final. Take her!!

Nicest professor at CSI. You can tell right away that she loves what she does and really cares about her students. Cares that we succeed outside of her class and helped by constantly informing us about scholarship and internship opportunities. Took her for two courses, highly recommend her. Professor Sturm is a great teacher and what I learned in her classes has taken me far in my professional career. The best prof in CS department AND in CSI. She's the smartest prof I've ever taken. She's very patient, clear and helpful. Her tests are not easy, but you will get an A if you just go to the class regularly, participate in class discussion, do the HW and assignments. Take her. You will not regret.
