I love this woman. She was so funny. I don't suggest you take her if you don't like accents. She has a thick southern one. She's very sympathetic to each students past experiences and where they come from. She doesn't care for slackers so don't be one. She gives great helpful constructive feedback. The textbook is crucial to learning, so use it.

She is very nice, don't get me wrong, but she doesn't explain things very well. I was an A student and I was very good in class, and she respects you if you pay attention. But when it came time for our group project she was extremely unclear with directions and got mad at us because we didn't record all of the necessary data in the correct way. Ugh

Prof. Bird chooses favorites. If you were favored like me, you'll have an easy time. I'd consider myself a good student, I do my homework and showed up for class. But she'd be rude to others who didn't follow the same model. She'd even bad mouth you in front of the entire class. All in all if your looking for an easy time, do not chose Bird.

She is a nice sweet woman, she did make the communication less awful than what i expected. I hate talking in front of people but she understands and helps through your presentation if you seem stuck or lost. The only issue is she gave us way too many things to do at once. She gave my class three assignments at once to be doing for presentations.

I took Dr. Bird for Oral Communication and American Literature. She is the best teacher I had at CCCC, and that's because she expects you to do your work and to bring your knowledge to apply in class. If you are open-minded and love teachers with silly quirks, Dr. Bird is the best teacher for you. She's always willing to help and to work with u!

Delores means well...but like some of the other comments, she tends to deviate from what I paid to learn. Also, I swear to you all that she is probably one of the most ego-centical people I've ever met. She's a great person but a horrible teacher.
