If you want to find a passion for soc dont take Del, if you want an easy A, take Del. Im taking his hybrid (not really hybrid) class thats 5 weeks long. No quizzes, no exams, no reading, no long note taking, just showup, get your homework, and turn in your homework and you have an A. He also cusses a lot

Overall Del is a good professor. His idea of homework is tedious reading, lecture notes, videos on youtube, and radio program summaries. For a once-a-week class it was by far the most homework I have had to do yet in a course. DO NOT ASK HIM STUPID QUESTIONS! He clearly explains how he wants every paper and gives print outs for everything. SIMPLE!

Old school lecturer, no powerpoints, and some bookwork. Overall, cool instructor. Easy A, and his lectures are pretty messy and all over the place. He's an old retired guy and I liked him. Take it with him!

I HATED this class and I do not use that word lightly! He did not keep to the course schedule at all. I understand that they are allowed to change it. However, Ive not had an instructor change course work WEEKLY. The class was over all an easy A, but I learned nothing. Oh thats the other thing he does not keep track of your grades! DONT TAKE DEL!!!

This was by far my EASIEST hybrid class. Del might seem intimidating at first. But you will eventually realize that he's funny, kind and straightforward of what he thinks. Weekly homework assignments, no quizzes or tests. On the final, he had us bring all our missed assignments we didn't get to turn in if we were absent. Overall I would take again!

He's hilarious but a very straight forward guy that will always get to the point. He made sociology interesting. The homework assigned was extremely easy. He loves when you talk and actually engage in the class. He doesn't use "the google" so if you have questions you have to ask him face to face.

If you're hoping to fall in love with sociology or learn a lot then his teaching style isn't for you. He may not be for everyone but he is a funny guy and tells it like it is or at least what he thinks it is. Show up, do the work, and you'll do great. Take the time to read the textbook and you will learn the basics of sociology!

Del is a comedian. He might not give a good impression at first, but by the third lecture you will get used to him. He is funny and very easy. There are short and easy homework assignments. Take him if you want an easy grade. Don't take him if you actually want to learn something.

I was disappointed to find that I had apparently signed up for a class on Del Cornutt's political views instead of a class on US society. He changed the syllabus weekly & several times during class. Even though I took a hybrid class, he didn't post anything online & refused to accept anything online. He was condescending when students had questions

I took his hybrid class, however he refused to use blackboard & cut the class to 1.5hrs. There were a lot of handouts, & articles to read with no follow up. Instructions were vague and students were talked down to when asking questions. The final assessment was simple but his lack of clear directions made it frustrating. Oh, he cusses like a sailor

These teacher is political, he is teaching sociology. that is kinda the point of what he is teaching. I loved this guy too bad he doesn't teach other classes. I love his humor and wit and he makes sense. He doesn't make you believe his way, just gives options.

Del Cornutt is loud, obnoxious, opinionated, rude, and swears like a sailor, if you are a religious person stay away from this instructor, he will be sure to offend you with all of his taking the lord's name in vain. His syllabus is useless,he doesn't stick to it and it changes every week. His lectures are useless, he rants on about politics.

AWFUL as a person. The first hour of class was him ranting about his political beliefs, or drinking. The last 20 minutes was sociology. Very easy as a professor though. Easy A. No quizzes, no final. Not mandatory to attend. Definately little effort on his part as well as on the students part and still receive an A.

He is the best Sociology teacher! He is very easy. Easy A. You just have to do your homework and you'll pass the class. He doesn't give a lot out either.
