My post, how chaotic/incapable of teaching Denise is, always gets deleted. There is a serious issue if she is allowed to continue destroying freshman students' academic progress. Your other grades will suffer, you must read her mind/have taken her class b4 in order to pass. An embodiment of tenured arrogance, there for the $, not for the students.

She made this class harder than anything Ive ever seen. She does not teach and expects you to learn. Severe amounts of work not caring about our other classes. She doesnt help much when your righting your essays either and is a very tough grader. Beware freshman because this could be your biggest nightmare!!!

Professor Mitchell is a tough cookie! BUT if you are willing to put in the work, meet with her outside of class, and participate in every class meeting.. you should do fine. If you are a slacker, this isn't the professor for you. If you like structure, this is the professor for you!!

If this is your first semester at Bakersfield College and you placed high on those placement tests DO NOT take this course with her. She is beyond unorganized and constantly tells you one thing and does the other, the papers aren't too bad but are really tedious to do. Oh and DON'T forget your Italics because she will slam your grade for that.

Worst class i ever signed up for and completely regretted it, everyone you group up with would say "I want to drop this class" abd i was the same way, hilarious/decent at first but gets very mean/rude further on in the semester, she also picks favorites so please if your a freshmen and have to take an english class choose another proffeser!!!!!!!!!

She has good material and plans out her classes in advance. Those are the positives. The negatives on the other hand. She picks favorites, leaves obnoxious amounts of homework, will take LOTS of points off for minimal mistakes, prepare to take 7 week old handouts for some lovely pop-quizzes, would make an Algebra class feel like Calc 3 for sure.

She is THE WORST. Do not take her class. Literally the devil. I wish I got a different professor. She gives so much homework and expects it to be done by the next day as if we don't have other classes to worry about. She makes us read WAY to much and gives a new essay assignment every week. So get ready to write. A LOT.

Well, to start she doesn't EVER tell you what she wants when you do an assignment then gives you a bad grade for not knowing. Also she changes her schedule all the time so you never know what's going on. She never reaponds to e-mails. She picks favorites and only her favorites get A's. This is the hardest class I've ever taken.

Professor Mitchell is an amazing professor. She is very tough on grading, but you will learn how to write an amazing paper. Changes the schedule frequent but is clear about it. LRNC B510 is a compressed class so be prepared to write 2-3 essays a week. Gives good feedback on what needs to be corrected, funny and understanding, would take her again.

Professor Mitchell was probably the toughest teacher I've had while at BC. You will learn how to write the perfect essay in t is class. She can be a very nice woman, but dont get on her bad side. Also dont miss the final presentation days or she will fail you! Make sure to turn in all assigntments on time and you will do well in this class!

Professor Mitchell is unorganized with her online schedule and has changed it at least 10 times causing miscommunication with her students. I took her my first semester of college. Big mistake. She has no sympathy for any student if an assignment couldn't be turned in on time. Beware this teacher, fingers crossed that I am able to pass her class.
