Dennis is a nice man. He knows the material but that doesn't help someone who has no idea about science. Test and lab assignments are a constant normal theme with no end in sight. Test and quizzes are hard. Doesn't give partial points, it's either right or wrong. Wish he took into account that not all students in his class have a science background

Dennis is the man!! everything is weighed the same (tests, quizzes and hw) labs are easy but the tests are kinda hard. But since the tests weigh just as much as the hw and labs it is an easy class. You also get quick quiz questions each class which are used as bonus points on the test. I got a 63 on the test and ended up with a 85

Down to earth guy. He teaches as if the class doesn't know how to use a computer at all, which is understandable considering the kind of people who take his class. Teaches enough for you to pass his class and not much more, but will answer any question thrown at him. Very easy teacher, would take again.

The exams were difficult, but you can get extra points form daily questions. Lab was easy. He has a quirky way about him, but you can learn to appreciate it. I would take another class with him.

His tests are pretty hard compared to what he teaches. But he gives out little quiz questions every day, which those points are put the each test. i scored a 56 on a test, but with my quiz answers i ended up getting an 88! He is really crazy with how he teaches, but fun.

Very nice professor. Pretty clear on what's expected from you for his class. Very lenient with due dates of assignments for CIS110. Answers emails fast and will to help with any trouble you have with the material covered.

Hands down...not the best teacher, but deff the best teacher for CIS17!!! Grocer is a horrible and hard teacher, so bad I had to withdraw from her course..took haworth in the summer and passed w/t an A.

He has a very dry humor, but he means well. Some of his tests seem to be on stuff that wasn't covered. If you have questions he tends to kind of make fun of you for asking it, but that just goes into his humor. You can joke back and him and he'll go along with it. The class itself was helpful to me.

Work was very easy. Midterm was hard, but he admitted to giving us some questions from another class's test; I think the whole test was from another class. BUT, he grades on curve so most did well. He seemed really bored with teaching this class, like he'd rather be doing something else. BUT if you show up to lecture AND lab, you'll do fine.

Ehh, he sounds a lot like Master Shake, which is neat i guess... The class is extremely boring, the book is wayy too expensive, and he is dryer that sand. To start you mainly do the remedial acts in microsoft word and such... kind of a snore and his speed and mono tone teaching method is a drag.

Really easy class at first, was easy to follow. About half way into the first half he got ahead of himself so he was out of synch with the book. Then it became difficult to follow. The real problem was the book, it really sucked. Dennis is a very knowledgable teacher. I would take a class with him again.

I actually had Howarth for Physics in high school. As a senior, I still thought his class was difficult. He didnt explain math clearly the first time but he goes over it so much that it ends up becoming clear. Everything else is simple Got an A+
