Comment:

It was a pleasure to attend Professor Mazzocco's class. His lectures offered an in-depth analysis from the front lines of media coverage. This allowed for an in site to news stories and how daily morning shows are produced; such as GMA. Following the conclusion of the class, I began to identify myself as a producer instead of a consumer.

He is an awesome guy with some great stories. He works hard for the class that he teaches and always provides the best for his students. So it's only right when he asks you to give him his best. He's amazing. I was having a lot trouble with the class and midway through the semester I talked to him and he still didn't give up. He's awesome 10/10 :)

He's in the media business so he has a lot of insight to the course. This also makes him very passionate for the course which keeps everyone engaged for the most part. We never used the textbook in class, so remember to read whatever chapter is related to that day's lesson. Written assignments fairly easy, and still increase understanding of class.

Everything in his curriculum is so masturbatory. We had an entire two days dedicated to Graceland because he went there one weekend during the semester. What did that teach me? Absolutely nothing. He's boring and egotistical. Avoid at all costs.

DO NOT TAKE IN THE SPRING. Between the Superbowl and the Oscars, he'll be too busy talking about his career in the TV business to teach you the material. Spend a lot of time reading the textbook and doing extra research, because his Power points are vague at best. Midterm was okay, but theres very few other assignments. Take with caution.

Mazzocco is a great professor. He genuinely cares about his craft and about the students' work. He's pretty connected, so get on his good side. Show up, pay attention, do the work. You'll be surprised how well you'll do.

Fairly easy, participate and you'll do fine. Midterm/final & tests/quizzes are a lot of writing, but straightforward for the most part. Very sure of himself, VERY bias, but that wasn't the crux of the class so no biggie. If you want an easy, engaged class, Mazzocco's your man.

Oh, Mazzocco. Once you get over his arrogance (he brought his emmy to class), and BLATANT politcal biased, you'll learn something. At first I thought it was intolerable, but he does have a lot to offer and he really does know a lot about the field. Just give him a chance.

What he discusses opens your eyes to the injustices of society. Seriously, took this class cause liked the title but not even any where near my major! He's likeable after you realize his syllabus isn't hard. Quiz about every week which prepares you for midterm and final not cum. Photo montage is a great keepsake of Hofstra. Big midterm curve!

At 1st I thought he was a great professor. As the class progressed, I realized he was teaching from his point of view. He teaches from his liberal view of things. This annoyed me that he is very one sided. I hate teachers who try to teach what he believes in an AVF class. If you are a Republican, do not take him.
