Comment:

I actually took this class online for Thomas Edison State University. Dr. Lemaire is a very knowledgeable, fair, and interesting professor who will go out of her way to help you if you care and are putting the work into it. She grades papers strictly but fairly and offers very helpful feedback. I highly recommend her class for Physical Geology.

Dr. Lemaire is hands down the smartest, most caring and hardest working person I have ever come across. I have learned so much about the earth and rocks this semester I want to become a geologist and travel the world studying it just like her:) Thanks Dr. Lemaire!!!

Took geography EARTH SCIENCES LAB online this summer, needing to fulfill LAB SCIENCE requirement. The material held my interest and Dr. L. presents the course in such a way that if you follow the road map and stay on top of the assignments, you are OK. Dr. L made herself available by phone to guide thru difficult concepts., she wants to help.

Comment:

Shes a good teacher, not the best. Wants you to work hard + attend class. Will call you out for texting or sleeping. Can be annoying at times. Sometimes she wont put what you expect on tests, but will sometimes put things you havent heard of. Varies from caring a lot about the class to not very much at all. Overall, a good teacher though

I started out looking forward to our trip through the American West. Though the scenery was beautiful, her personality soon became a major drag on the experience. She was always extremely rude and degrading to our waitresses, other students and pretty much anyone she came in contact with if things didn't go her way or if someone disagreed with her.

She has a PhD, she thinks the world revolves around her, not the most committed, but comes across as she is... Doesn't really care. Its sad to write this cause I took all her classes and I feel that it discredits me more than her. She wants someone who sucks up to her, she doesn't want a really bright student.

I've had Dr. Lemaire for 4 classes so far. She cares about her students and will call out students who are sleeping, texting, etc. I know by now not to buy the text book for any of her classes. Even if she says to read specific pages everything will be covered in her powerpoints.

this probably isnt the right place to put this, but i figured someone need to say something. i went to australia with her on one of her summer trips and she was ridiculous. our trip was the last of many over the summer so she was irritable and heaven forbid you have an opposing opinion about something, she managed to make paradise a hell hole

A lot of the stuff that she taught went over my head but the stuff that i did learn was very interesting. She is an extremely brilliant woman and if you can appreciate that then you will appreciate her and style of teaching. As described before, she is very much like "mom". Although the mandatory trips were boring at times, you learn quite a bit. She is easier if you have a geography background or appreciation. Also, if you are a suckup and teachers pet she loves you. Go to class and do the labs and you will do fine

I've had her for 4 classes. She's definitely my favourite professor ever. She knows everything about the subjects she teaches and genuinely cares about her students. She's like a mom. Honestly. If you do the work you'll be fine. You CAN'T get by if you slack off or don't come to class.
