this guy, in all seriousness, was my favorite professor. the whole class is constantly laughing at his jokes, which actually are relevant to geography and make remembering things easier. he's very understanding and will help you with absolutely anything

he honestly wants his students to succeed and make A's. He is so willing to help you and make things easier for you. He gives you the stuff in advance for all his tests. Just go to class! He says things that he says will be on his tests so attendance is a must, but his classes are funny and enjoyable. Best teacher yet at ECU.

Dr. Alderman is HILARIOUS. You will remember everythig by his jokes, he really cares about his students and what they get out of this course. AMAZING professor...he tries to get everyone to be as enthusiastic about Geography as he is, and loves to joke around. An easy class if you show up often and take notes. All you have to do is study the maps, the readings and his notes and you'll do just fine. Attendance isn't mandatory, but you'll find that you might actually WANT to go to class

Great teacher. Good sense of humor. Class was never boring. Tests were straight from the readings and notes. Projects were easy and fun. Interesting stuff like how the a/c changed the South, blues music, civil rights, and other interesting topics.

You have got to take his class. I was actually motivated to get up and go to his class at 9 am because he made it so interesting. If you take geography you need to take it with him.
