Derek is very obviously a new professor. He is clearly intelligent but I felt underestimated as a student. He should expect more from university kids! Good in the sense that we had a lot of freedom to decide essay topics. On a side topic, math majors shouldn't have to take English.

Seems like a really cool guy outside of the classroom, but inside, the class lacked control and clarity. Didn't really learn much about essay writing, considering it was an essay writing class
