Go to class and take notes and youll be fine. Hes really good about answering emails if you have questions when your doing homework and the tests are easier than the homework.

If you are coming out of AP calc classes from high school, I do not recommend taking Mitchem. He teaches calc in a harder and more confusing way in my opinion. He grades really harsh on tests, and won't give many partial credit points. I honestly just didn't like him has a teacher, and I felt like he made those who asked questions feel stupid.

I really enjoyed this class. There is a lot of homework that is done online but by doing the assignments I believe it made me ready for the exams. Mr. Mitchem comes of a little rough around the edges but he truly does want to help his students. if your pay attention and participate in class you should be fine. It's a math class so expect to do work

Mr. Mitchem knows the material. Class Notes are important so take notes and don't miss class. The issue I had is delivery. He appeared unorganized and would assign assignments that he had not reviewed prior to assigning, which resulted in confusion. I suggest he review the material prior to the start of the semester, and not wing it.

There should be a different professor for online stats at AHC. I trudged through the *many* homework problems, did amazingly well, and felt confident for the exam. BAM. Failed every test. Failed a class for the first time. I attempted to discuss with him throughout and he just said, "Sorry you aren't doing well."

By far one of my favorite teachers. Although he is not the most entertaining guy, his lectures are very clear and understandable. He is a smart guy and really cares about his students. He will answer any and all questions. His homework is all online and you unlimited tries for all questions. I highly recommend him!

His lectures are good. He's smart and he gives pretty understandable explanations. He's always willing to help students understand the material. His tests are a little unorganized, though, but they're not excessively hard. Overall, his class was good even though I wasn't too excited about it. I find it easy to recommend this teacher.

Mitchem is an excellent stats professor. He begins each class by asking students if they have any questions over the material and answers them on the spot. As long as you attend lecture and take good notes, the class is easily manageable.

DO NOT TAKE HIS CLASS! AT LEAST ONLINE. Homework and quizzes are easy, but once you get to the tests. They are supper different. The questions are not specific and he is not so helpful. He seems to get mad when you ask him questions. Don't recommended.

TOO MUCH HOMEWORK. It's crazy. More worried about getting all the homework done than actually learning because it takes literally all day to finish. Lectures are long, boring and confusing. Sloppy handwriting and he always gets in the way of the board. Stuff on testhw was not taught in lecture. People always correct his math in class. DO NOT TAKE!

Lectures are long but he explains pretty clearly. I used to math center for any additional questions because he tends to put students on the spot if you ask a question. DO YOUR HOMEWORK, makes the class easier. Good notes are a must. Not really helpful or considerate. Use the math center and you'll be fine.

I struggle with math and he was completely unsupportive and unhelpful. He's kind of a jerk to be completely honest. He says he gives partial credit for work shown but he only gives credit for the correct answer. He's also moody and likes to make you feel stupid if you do ask questions. NOT recommended whatsoever.

I took his class for calculus and it didn't go well. His lectures were organized but confusing. For instance he had a format but his writing was messy and at every lecture someone always corrected him with his math. He gives a lot of homework which lasts about 5 hours! Most of the HW problems would be problems he didn't go over in lecture. stay awy

I''m always a good student and the work I put in shows. Homework is crazy long and a large portion of the grade so do it but start early. Some assignments took over 9 hours to finish and are hard. Lecture is super important so don''t skip. If it wasn''t for the surprise 10 extra credit assignment I wouldn''t of gotten an A. Be ready for a lot of work.

Mr. Mitchem's statistics class is very straight forward do your homework, attend class everyday, take notes and there is no way you can fail. If you failed this class I am assuming you never did the homework and/or you never attended class. He is a wonderful, chill professor that gives you all the materials and guidelines for success.

I took statistics online with him. The homework and quizes you can take over and over until you get 100%. Thats what saved me. His tests are nothing like the online homework or tests at all! He lists review questions before the tests, sometimes helpful but sometimes misleading where his test questions are nothing like what your used to w/ the hw!

I love math and have taken many classes online, (with great grades) including math and I have to say this was one confusing class. The online assignments are easy HW and quizzes but the physical tests on campus are hard and very confusing. I felt as if the questions were not the same as the online HW and quizzes. Not recommended at all.!!!

Heads up: Group work is required every day in his physical class. I took his online class and the publisher basically teaches his class for him. He gives a review sheet for what's on the exam, but it must be based off old tests because it was missing what was mostly on the exam. Cost is $80 for online access & ebook + enrollment fees of $184 = $264
