The absolute worst professor Ive had at BMCC !!!!! Assigns numerous long reading and expects you to take a quiz on them everyday. Very petty you cant use the restroom in his class and he tries to embarrass you if you do. Hell make smart remarks and question you in the middle of class , when it couldve been done privately. Extremely ARROGANT :/

Get prepared to READ READ READ he is a HORRIBLE professor expects you to read 50 pages a day just so that the following class you have a test in the beginning. if you fail 3 of the pop up tests He automatically fails you. This is my last semester and throughout my WHOLE college experience i regret ever taking this class

This Professors deserves the worst professor of the semester award. If you miss a class and need his help he wont get to you til the next day or at 12 at night. If u late to class once he says it'll be half an absence and if your late again then it becomes an absence. One of the WORSTTTTTTTTT professors in BMCC.

Since space is limited, let's get to the point. Taking his class is equivalent to joining the army. Unless you enjoy learning in a rigid, stressful environment, do not do it!!! BTW: He did serve in the army and believes he is still there. I am an honors student and had to drop the class because the level of anxiety he triggered was not healthy.

A very challenging professor in a good way. To say that he changed me as a student is an understatement. Lecture, test and essay heavy. If you listen and allow him to, he will really polish you as a writer - if that is a field you're interested in. Very intimidating at first but he knows what he is talking about. Very experienced and trustworthy.

Jeffries makes you work for your grade. He gives a quiz every class to make sure you read the assignment . If you fail a few of these quizzes h will tell you to drop the class because there is no chance of passing. He is very knowledgeable , but he is tough. you Will read a lot in his class

He is very strict and tough grader. If you are an International students or Asian, do not take him because I believe that he does not like Asian. He would try to force you out if you are in his class. I saw that what he did and said to some students in the class, and they were all Asian students.

If you like to be challenged and want a professor who seems to believe he is teaching a graduate program then you will like his classes. He is very strict, very tough, and grades very harshly. Students often leave his class in tears. You can probably learn a lot from him, but be prepared for a challenge and an uphill struggle to an A.

You have to work hard to pass. He gives amazing lectures, he is funny but a tough grader. He is the kind of prof that gives a pop quiz every class about a story or book he assigned. This is a great way to learn from an amazing professor. He is well experienced at teaching, and it shows by the grades you will receive, but keep in mind, this Professor will not let you take the easy way out. you have to work hard for what you want, but in the end I have been proven that taking his class was extremely worth it.

this professor is the worse professor bmcc have to offer. He gives test on the second day of class. failer on 3 or more test will result in you getting a F grade for the entire course. Had to withdrawal from this class the the third week of school. stay away from taking English 391 with this professor.... thank me later
