Very knowledgable about the subject matter but can be very petty and tends to hold grudges toward students she doesn't like. I made the mistake of getting on her bad side early on in the semester and was still paying for it a year and a half later when I took one of her other courses.

She's incredibly intelligent and has experience speaking at legislative hearings so she knows what she's talking about. Tough but fair grader. My experience/success in class was completely the effort I put into it. You'll do well if you put in the work.

She is a perfectly nice and fair teacher but she is really quite a bad one. Thin lectures, obsessed with useless statistics, unable and unwilling to really engage in political debate (which is why I took the course). Also painfully boring classes. Not recommended. To her credit she is reasonably unbiased.

The class is highly structured around data, experiments, and the textbooks. She doesn't get into any theory about political positions, but instead had us read studies on voting patterns. Fine for what it is, but fairly boring and easy considering it is a 300 level class. Prefers people who regurgitate her points back, doesnt take disagreement well.

102 and 301. She is one of the best professors Trinity has. Very clear and also willing to help out if you need it. Uses a lot of visuals(pwrpt) in class. Tests may be difficult at first, but once you know her style they aren't bad.Does give weekly quizzes though. HIGHLY Recommend taking a course with her if you are at all interested in PolySci.

Comment:

One of the best Professors at Trin. Took attendance when I was there. Assume she still does; few others cared, gave up the second week or were space cadets. She knows her material. I took several classes because if the interest in Congress is there, she's the best bet. Think I got my lung damage from asbestos abatement though... not joking.

Great professor, but will NOT take crap from anyone. She really knows what she is teaching and is EXTREMELY knowledgeable--the legislative simulation was the best part of the entire class.
