I don't understand all the negative comments here, she was a pretty easy and basic professor. She's a lot easier than a lot of other math professors out there. She gives a lot of chances if she knows you aren't doing well. I hate math and she made it bearable for me.

I tried to get a refund 3 weeks into dropping her course. This course is supposed to be an introductory course. She skipped over the first two chapters (why I don't know) and was into the middle of the textbook 3 weeks into the course (13-14 week course). This prof cost me a thousand dollars of my own money! Too bad for me! Awful professor!

Goes over algebra that you learned in elementary school the majority of the time then expects you to suddenly understand derivatives and integrals as a result. Handwirting is impossilbe to read, assignments and content are not clearly laid out in syllabus, and you are graded on attendance and homework.

She is a smart lady, but horrible teacher.She's not good at explaining problems and she has no personality.She is very intimidating! Listen you can fail the whole class and if you pass the final which is extremely difficult she will pass you.But if you do good all semester and fail the final you get an F!She failed about 12 people in my class.

Her teaching style is boring. But most people complain about their math 140 and 145 teacher so you will probably do so too. If you get lost go for help immediately otherwise its a wrap. The reecitiations are helpful, tutoring is available, or phone a friend that is a math major. Most people do not pass 145 the first time so Good Luck.

Easy subject even if you already had calculus in HS, but she makes it confusing !!! She changes her mind often about answeres and forgets how to do problems on the board. She is not a very good instuctor when it should be a really eays class especially for someone math inclined!!

Dr. Kalish is HORRIBLE and dimwitted! She takes way to many points off for insignificant things. She doesn't care about her students. I knew what I was talking about in the class and I got an F. She does not give us the benefit of the doubt. School is about learning, not a strict grading system
