I really like this subject but her lectures are dificult to follow because she uses very few visual aids and goes very quickly. Names of the gods are often dificult to spell and she strongly dislikes stoping to spell them. She also has very little useful study material up on sacCT. It's possible to get an A, but you have to work for it in studying.

I absolutely loved this teacher! Aside from how sweet and adorable she is. She is so passionate about mythology and it shows. The class is a lot of info but it is all needed. She is clear on what she expects. Take notes and do all the reading as well as study well! With all this, you will do great.

Trust the second comment below me. I'm a premed student and get A's from all of my classes but this teacher is really horrible! The average score for her exam are 30/50! I studied 24/7 for all of her exam and still get a B. She's not even an english prof and she wil mark u down for grammars, commma, N everything! DO NOT TAKE THIS PROFESSOR!

Unless you are majoring in Greek or Roman mythology, look for a different upper division course. The material is interesting, but she is a very monotone speaker, harsh grader, reads out of her written paper. She has TWO difficult midterms and the final, along with TWO, 4-6 pg papers. No powerpoints, and LOTS of reading & memorization!

Unless you are very interested in Greek and Roman Mythology, DO NOT take this class.Lectures are extremely boring.Material is read straight from the notes using very minimal visual aids.It's very hard to take notes in this class because she is fast paced and the names of the gods are very hard to spell.Takes forever to return papers and exams.

Shes very boring and her lectures go on forever! she reads straight from the textbooks but you have to go to class and stay cause her lectures are the test. Tests are super hard cause you have soooo much to memorize! Everyone complains how hard the tests are and her study guides aren't helpful at all, she just lists terms to know.

If you like a professor who doesn't use a clear grading rubric, has no clear objectives, reads to you and favors the ones who talk in class, this is the professor for you. Classes were VERY boring. I attended all her classes and studied for every exam but did awful on her midterms because they were so poorly written.

She is a sweetheart, but sometimes being sweet isn't a great thing to be a teacher. Her class seemed like hours long because she read to us the whole time frame. I enjoyed talking to her one on one but during class you couldn't help but fall asleep. If you have strong will power take this class. You won't want to go.

Lectures can be slow. But teacher is very nice and thorough. Do not ask for a multiple choice exam. But, if you take the study guide and at least write it all out, you should do great. She makes everything clear about what she is looking for. And if you are unsure, ask her and she will clarify.

She takes FOREVER to grade tests and papers. She was still trying to grade papers in class while we were taking our final. If you were done before she had graded yours, tough luck. You can't follow along easily. I had EVERYthing studied on the sudy guide and the test had barely anything from it. She knows her stuff but can't teach

Great teacher! Really knows her stuff. I felt the class was difficult only because of the names that you need to know for the test. It gets overwhelming sometimes. In spite of that, the class was interesting and I would highly recommend it.

she provides study guides before every test. tests are pretty simple if you follow along in class and prepare from the study guides. class can get somewhat boring at times, but material is interesting and many videos/slide shows are shown during the semester.good-hearted teacher, get on her good side and you're golden.
