Intimidating at first but if you let her talk and get to know you, she's a really nice person . She's hard , strict and you MUST have your supplies or she will count you absent. However she's fair with her critiques and wants to help you improve. I learned so much about my knowledge of color theory thanks to her. Prepare for an expensive semester.

She is definitely a tough person to get used to. She is firm, conservative, and old fashioned; however, she loves to teach and wishes her students the best. Have manners and right supplies ready, and keep the deadlines, you'll be fine. Sometimes a passionate person comes off wrong to "kids".

Probably the worst art class I have taken at UGA. It was throughly a waste of time. Discussion about your work is a minimum. Thoughtful concrete discussion is nonexistent. Painting is a technique and very little of that was taught. Students spend most of there time fumbling around and the only input you do receive is not useful.

Professor Edison was an insult to art education. She showed favoritism and harshly told me for about 10 min. I wasn't fit for her class due to a tube of paint missing and a broken glass palette. She PLAYS favorites and I would recommend avoiding any of her classes if you can. If she doesn't like you and you sense this DROP the class.

She is an amazing individual and may seema bit intimidating and oppressive at first, but get to know her, let her talk, and most importantly, listen to her stories.. she's a great teacher, you just have to give her a chance- you will leran a lot.

she did walk out a lot, which was somewhat annoying. she did, however, offer an interesting approach to going about painting. she did voice her political opinions a few times, but as an oppressed minority, how could she afford not to? she's a great person, but an OK professor.

Very unclear about what she wants and will not help at all. Walks out of the classroom and is only there 15 % of the time. Is very loud and obnoxious about her political views when she has no place to speak of them. Subjective on what she 'likes'.
