Comment:
Krider is not specific from what she wants on projects. Miss three classes, your grade drops a whole letter grade. Responds late or not at all to emails. She makes very rude and incorrect comments on touchy topics then she'll joke about it. She spends the entire class just reading powerpoints and rambling.

Very unclear teaching style. Responds to emails DAYS later. Not very willing to help students. No extra credit was given, and if "extra points" were given, they didn't help the grade at all because they were 5/5 not 5/0. Lectures don't match the study guide. GIVES STUDY GUIDE TWO DAYS BEFORE THE TEST?! Worst professor I've had in a while.

Krider is the toughest grader Ive ever had which is confusing since her teaching isnt throurough what so ever. Her class is extremely unorganized. This 200 level class was 50x harder than my 500 level capstones... Im a graduating senior and havent experienced anything worse than this class. I didnt learn a single thing on top of it.

I have gotten 4.0's in every other class I took at CMU, but Krider's poor direction and teaching skills had me walking out of this 200-level ELECTIVE with a 2.7. She never answers her emails and is just not a good teacher. Attendance is mandatory but she spends the whole time rambling about non-class related things.

Worst professor I've ever had in my four years of college. Ridiculously hard grader for 100 level class. I've gotten all As in all of my upper level communication classes, and I'm lucky if I'll get a C in COM 195. She's SO annoying to listen to when she lectures, and for an intercultural communication class, she says some pretty ignorant things.

Worst grader ever. She enjoys giving people bad grades. Don't take her class, super boring. All she does is lecture, but the content is very interesting.

do not take her you will regret it. she doesn't give any guidelines on homework and literally uses the class to talk about herself and her opinions. took her for 2 classes and it was the biggest mistake. the test are hard and you have to teach yourself all of the material because she doesn't teach. about to get a C in both classes.

This class is very beneficial for all communication majors. Krider wants to see you succeed and do well in the course. HOWEVER, this is a very hard class. You will utilize every communication class you have ever taken. This class at time will make you want to drink paint thinner as a mix drink but just know you will get through it.

Krider is by far one of the most amazing professors I have had at Central. She is extremely passionate about what she teaches and has so many good stories to tell. Make sure you do the blogs and come to class so you get credit. You'll definitely enjoy this class and this professor thanks to her overall persona.

In COM 195 professor Krider gives off the impression that she is a fun and warm teacher. However, as the semester goes on you will realize that she is not the teacher but you have to teach yourself as most of the learning comes from the book. Is not clear on assignments and does not help you out.

At the beginning and for most of the semester, in IPR 101 Dr. Krider is a fantastic - and was one of my favorite teachers. However, if you do one thing that she does not like, she grades this 1 credit 100 level course as if it were a 4 credit 500 level course. If you get on her bad side you will not get an A - and she will make sure of that.

I'll never take a class with Krider again! She's not very specific when it comes to assignments, but is incredibly specific when grading. She gave nearly every group a C or lower on the huge group project at the end of class without even giving a clear rubric on what she wanted from the project beforehand. Miss 3 classes? Full letter grade drop.

Worst teacher I've ever had. She uses her class as a platform for women's rights. Does not teach well, instead rambles about nothing. She is a passionate person but can't teach well and has never spent time working outside the classroom. I created this account to warn you: DO NOT TAKE COM 461 WITH HER!! DO NOT! hard tests, mandatory attendance.

Really hyper in class and was pretty cool. She really liked to learn about her students and their interests, but she was also very excited to teach about public relations and she has a clear passion for it. Do the assignments in this class and you should get an easy A. The job shadowed sucked though!

While she might not explain things well in class, she knows interviewing inside and out. It is obvious that Diane has experience in the field. I would take her 10 times over if I could. Come to class, pay attention and try. If you go to her office hours, you will do just fine. Just stay on top of your stuff and ASK QUESTIONS!

I understand that grade inflation is a problem, but Dr. Krider wants to solve the whole problem herself. She has this weird thing where she's not specific about her grading expectations and then the first test comes and - yep, "Dueling Banjos." It is possible to recover, but the class is stressful because you spend most of it trying to correct for the "grab you ankles" situation from the first test.
