I really like that he exposed us to German history and culture during class. Nightly homework assignments were quick and easy and tests weren't bad as long as you study the pages he gives you. Class is a lot of fun if you participate! He's a very quick grader too.

Prof felber is undeniably the coolest guy, and such a worthwhile teacher. he is poignant, experienced, worldly, funny, and extremely intelligent. his easygoing nature makes him hard to disrupt and makes the class feel a lot less stressful. his tests are essentially memorization, however, which makes learning grammar meaningfully a bit difficult

Assigns online homework after almost every lecture, but it only takes around 20 min to complete. Professor does a great job not only teaching the language but also German culture through music, news articles, and movies. Speaking is a major part of class, but he understands you are new to the language and grades fairly.

Prof. Felber is the best. Everything in his class is super straightforward. I also definitely feel like I'm learning, but I'm one of the few who try in his class.

he wants his students to like him and so he never challenges them. he assumes everyone wants a good grade and so he engineers the class so that such is inevitable. his class was a joke - it was rigid and easy. hopefully he reads this and learns something. professor, stop wasting our time!

Pr. Felber is fantastic. His English is likely better than almost all of the students he teachers and his teaching was very clear and interesting. The intermediate class used a book "Stationen" that "traveled" to a bunch of cities in the German-speaking Europe, which was very helpful for geography, culture, and of course learning the language.

Professor Felber is my favorite professor of all time. I have taken him in German from the 1000-3000 level over the past 3 years. He has gone to great lengths for me, and continues to do so. He is my mentor, teacher, and friend. The impact he has made on my life is so significant, that I know I am a better person for knowing him. TAKE HIM!!!

Easy class. He moves slow and tries to make sure nobody falls behind. Shows cool movies from time to time. Tests & quizzes are insanely simple and there are no surprises. Only bad thing about this class is he takes attendance which will seriously ruin your grade if you exceed 3 unexcused absences.

Too application based. Can try your hardest and still fail a class. No way to work ahead. Tells you what is on a test the day before. Tests are widely inconsistent ranging from laughably easy to amazingly hard. Very few in class or out of class assignments that are relevant to the tests. Goes very fast though material with no backtracking.

Amazing! He is the sweetest, most laid back professor ever. He'll make you laugh and teach you so much. You don't worry about the grade if you study the vocab--but take advantage of what he has to teach you.

Prof. Felber is amazing! He shows so much dedication and regard for his students' success in the language and the course. You can tell the effort he puts in making the foundation for the language as clear as possible even though it is grammar-heavy. You'll do well if you keep up with the homework and he won't test you on anything you haven't learned

He's a really good professor and if you have even the smallest amount of work ethic you will get an A. He does require a lot of class participation and grades accordingly. He genuinely wants you to do well and will let you re-do papers as often as necessary.

He is one of the best professors I've had in school. He's definitely laid back and doesn't really care if you talk in class as long as you do well...which isn't hard. Does a good job explaining things you don't understand and if you need further help he'll stay with you as long as you need after class. Tests are pretty easy as well.

Really good professor, he teaches out of the book so you can refer to it later for clarity. Uses a lot of visuals and makes the effort to make sure you understand. Overall an awesome class and super easy.

He's a really chill professor, but he teached directly from the book. So if you don't have a book, then you'll be a bit lost unless you look on with someone else. Assigns a lot of online work and is laid-back about homework, except for essays. Bottom line: a good professor and an easy class.
