Dirk was a VERY old school teacher who came down hard on the slackers - but he was the BEST @ explaining concepts & rules of accg. He did not use PPT or even a laptop; everything was done on the board & thru the projector. When I did approach him w/ a Q, he did not easily give me the answer -he made me work for it & THAT'S what makes a good prof!

He's a really good instructor and can give you the information clearly. He is not helpful at all if you run into trouble outside of class. He gives out confusing assignments. His test marking is fair. He also seems to want to get into fights with students so avoid doing anything that can set him off cause he's a bit wacky.

Fantastic teacher. Best I've ever had, I can only hope that any other teachers I have are half as good as him. Joking. Very poor teacher, he does not actually teach. Instead he blabbers on about his wife and then expects students to know everything by test time.

too old and stuck in his ways.. and did not like to give credit where deserved...penalized students that found his class to easy by giving errors on exams that were justified...tests did not have proper clarifications for dirks strict requirements...and dirk was of no help to resolve any dispuits .. his way or the high way... very terrible

This guy is a serious prof, he is very helpful and gives good examples. He always has some lame jokes, but they are so lame that you laugha anyways. If you do not attend class, you WILL FAIL! I got a great mark but I would not like to have him again :)
