Gabany like's to show off in his classes but people I know have worked on projects with him outside of class and he's a completely different person. Inside the classroom, for your first few classes with him, you'll hate him but towards the end of your education at AIP, you'll learn to appreciate what Gabany says much much more.

Comment:

He's a great professor. Some note that he is slightly egotistical, and that's not a lie. He is extremely knowledgeable and knows it. This, by no means, makes him a bad professor. He is funny, and extremely informative. He's the guy that the other professors go to when they have a technical question. Great teacher!

I have never met another human being so full of himself. He seems to think that his opinion equals fact. And that is no way to run a creative class. If you don't follow his creative ideas, then you will not get a good grade. It's all about stroking his ego. He badly wants to be a filmmaker, but he just isn't. He is all technical, not creative.

We had to pitch to him our story ideas for the project that we had to do. After every single person gave their pitch, he suggested they tell their story non-linearly and have a big twist at the end. Every single one. He knows a lot about the technical side of filmmaking, but knows nothing about the creative side. He is so lame and clichéd.
