Really funny guy and does magic tricks on Friday. His teaching is pretty good and his TAs are good as well. Easy tests and quizzes. To get an A literally just show up and have a positige mind set going into the class even the the class can be boring. I even sat in on a few other finite math profs and he was the best compared to the others.

Comment:

Don was a super friendly man and I thought that he was really funny. The only problem is that when he teaches things he goes kind of fast and sometimes it's confusing to follow. Also, this class was every single day so it's not super important to go to every single lecture, but I would definitely go to the recitation.

Taking Math 767. Don does not give a textbook for the class, and his notes in class are garbage. I found an online textbook and learned more from an hour of teaching myself than I have learned in a single lecture. He also has not handed back a single assignment thus far, and grades on how much he likes you as a student. 1/10 would not recommend.

Hadwin gives out weekly quizzes, but you must take good notes. He literally writes all over the board and his writing isn't the best. He may sometimes also be hard to reach outside of class. Hadwin, no doubt, is the smartest math professor I've ever met. He likes to impress us with shocking math related facts and thus he strays off topic a lot.

Don is one of the best professors on this campus. He clearly has a desire and love for teaching, and it reflects his attitude in his lectures. Lectures can be long and boring (at times) but the exams are the easiest exams you will ever take at UNH. Easy A.

I loved Don!! Such a great professor and kind person. With that being said, the class is not the easiest if you're not a math person. BUT, he is always willing to help and clarify and also did study sessions on his own time a day or two before each test which was very helpful.

I do not think this was an easy class, the material in the beginning was tough and most people in my class struggled. Going to the Math Center was very helpful but some of the topics were confusing and Don sometimes did not explain very well.

Don's a great guy. Unique and weird but undeniably great. He's naturally very smart but I don't think he ever had to work real hard to be exceptional at math so I don't think he always understands students struggles and is able to help them in the BEST way and often isn't slow and methodical enough in his explanations but nonetheless will help you.

one of the best professors here.. if i ever had questions on anything he would never hesitate to help me. always took extra time out to help his students. told a lot of jokes in class which was always a good break to a bad subject. overall great guy.
