I took him for Grad Stats as well. He teaches very well on tough subjects. If you go to his class & take notes you will do well.He knows his material and knows how to get it across clearly. Also very easy to talk to and very helpful.

if you like guns and roses.... take this class.. this guy love his music and he has the sexiest hair i have ever seen. He explains everything to the t and is ver clear. His eyes are a dark brown and very mysterious. if you take this class, you better know where you are... your in hummers jungle baby

would have to say one of the easiest math course ever taken he explainds everything and answers even the dumbest questions. would take him again for any class. if you have basic math skills you are garenteed an A. No homework and like 4 test on very specefic things nothin bad to say about him

Soooo easy. This class moved even slower than my stats course as an undergrad. That doesn't really help prepare us for much. Very good professor, very willing to help, very friendly, but he needs much higher standards (as does the rest of the department).

This class is a joke. Not because its easy but because he is such a good teacher. If you fail this class you are an idiot and should consider dropping out of school. Hummer is the man and lays everything out for you before the tests.

i don't understand how anyone in their right mind would say anything but good things about this teacher. he takes material no one wants to know about and makes it bearable. its not an easy class, but you get what you put into it. its not a class your gonna breeze through, but you need to take it.

Very nice guy. Easy-going and helpful. I hate stats but he made me feel confident in my abilities. UMASS will be kicking themselves when he leaves.

Good guy, pretty laid back...especially in his grad classes. Gives good notes and tells you what you need to know for tests. He always has to cancel class too which is a plus. As long as you pay attention in class you will do well.

Hard to get in touch with for help. Class very hard and he didnt want to help his students. Had to file a complaint against him. Told his class that "If you want one on one time with a teacher go to Stanford, Ulowell we dont do that.

He is very competent, fair, and likeable. If you're the type of student who doesn't believe in reading the book, you won't do well. He actually believes in treating students like adults! I would definitely take him again for another course.
