Dr. Lillie is a decent teacher for theater, I took it only for my gen eds. He's somewhat different, but funny and makes class enjoyable. Briefly reading the book is necessary for class discussions, but the tests are composed of both the book and lecture. His biggest thing is that you MUST show up to class.

I took THR113 online, so I only had a few quizzes, group discussions, play attendances, and tests to do. And the tests are all open-book. He does choose very small details to test you over from time to time, but you'll have your book to help. Also, he can be difficult to understand (in his emails and tests) due to his dyslexia. Minimal effort.

Fun teacher, hard tests! Read all the chapters (especially the little stories in side boxes and footnotes)! Many test questions come from these!

Lillie is sarcastic, disorganized and usually late to his own class. He doesn't expect a lot from his students but does require attendance to plays, attendance to class, and to read your book. If you do those 3 things, it will be hard for you to not get a passing grade. He knows his craft and if you have a sense of humor, you can enjoy his class!

Although he is completely insane he definitly knows his craft my only real complaint is that he doens't use the lecture notes in tests he only uses the book. Also his grading can be biased around finals. If he likes you he "loses" your test and gives you an A, if he doesn't like you you fail. Get on his good side and you'll have a great year.

Getting a good grade in Theatre is a piece of cake. Just do this with Lillie. GO to the PLAYS & take notes. Don't have to understand them but just go & do the papers. Second, attend class & DON'T miss. I failed every last test/quiz but passed with a B. Attendance /plays are majority of the FINAL GRADE.

Do NOT take Don's classes if at all possible. He's gone off the deep end. He doesn't teach what he's supposed to, he's HORRIBLE about helping students outside of class, and he criticizes students for things that are HIS fault. He's a decent guy, but a horrible teacher. Don't take him- you will regret it.

Don's awsome! this class was fun and if you pay attention and do your project, easy. Plus field trip for advanced class, which is really fun! Go down to Ruston to do a fight workshop for a weekend. A little absent minded but still a good guy and a teacher that will help when asked.

Pretty funny, but has a habit of getting WAY off topic. Lectures are entertaining and tests aren't too bad. Just make sure you go regularly, see the required plays and do your project.
