I had the privilege of having Don Phelan for 2 Psychology classes at Macomb. He was a wonderful teacher. I wish to this day that I could take another class with him. I'm sad he retired. Amazing teacher. Made class fun and interesting. Awesome personality.

Phelan was my very first prof at Macomb in 1997. He was a total riot, I looked forward to the class everyday, and he's one of the few I even remember the name of after almost 10 years. Very entertaining!

Great Teaching methods most of the time...he talks alot about his personal life, makes the class interesting most of the time, but some times he can make some pretty rude comments towards women, different cultures and what not...I didn't even have a text book and i passed with a B+...but you HAVE to study to do good on the tests!

Phelan was very easy going, and his personal stories were usually interesting, but he made way too many **** comments against women, some VERY degrading, also joked about things that were not a laughing matter. If you have a hard skin, and dont mind swearing, take it.

I would definitly recommend Phalen. His stories keep things interesting and his notes are straight forward- theres no guessing. Ive had no homework beside studing for tests which are fairly easy. Swearing is humorous then becomes unnecessary.
