Comment:
He gave no syllabus throughout the entire semester, and we only had 3 writing assignments to make up our grade (one of which was a 15 page paper which we had 2 weeks to complete). I didn't learn anything about philosophy, but it was nice to just be able to sit there and get my honors credit without doing anything. Class is very boring.

Very respectful of others, therefore he is a well-respected man. However, his lectures don't fully prepare the class for writing papers and exams.

Comment:
We spent wayy too much time on Descartes, and his lectures seemed a bit more like they were an excuse to tell all his grandpa stories. However, if you actually participate and ask questions, he's very helpful.

Comment:
Class can be slow at times, but that is due more to the lack of student participation when he seeks it. Without student participation he is forced to go off topic and discuss family and life matters, they tend to be either funny or boring, generally funny though. Very nice man. He will stop and talk to you anywhere you see him, especially Brady.

I have to glue my eyelids open to stay awake, his lectures are the most boring things on this earth. I def. learned more in lab than I ever did in lecture...thanks Donald

Sievert is a beautiful man and a great professor. I'd recommend him without reservation to anyone. He is very warm and one of the most intelligent instructors I've ever had. Plus he is very welcoming of questions, comments, criticisms etc at all times. Not pompous like many professors.

His class was interesting at times, but I learned more about his boring family than philosophy.
