unless you're a philosophy major you'll probably pass. if you do a presentation, you get to skip out on doing 2 essays before the midterm/final. he makes a lot of unnecessary side comments about other students and calls them out. he once used "he's going to go to the gym and watch little kids work out" as an example for plato which was quite odd.

Solid choice for a humanities class. Reading for homework and lectures in every class. He has a good sense of humor and makes the topics interesting. Quizzes on reading are unannounced but very easy. Midterm is easy if you study. Lets you pick between a 2,000 word essay or 15 minute presentation for end of term assignment. Don't skip class a lot

This class was not unsually difficult but there was definitely a lot of reading to do. He gives 10 one question quizzes throughout the semester but doesn't tell you when they are, so not reading is an instant zero. Lectures are a bit dull. He lets you choose which topics you want to write your papers on. You discuss from your seat so not too awk

I took this class online, so there was extra reading to do (online notes plus the textbook). It was not an easy class, you do have to study and participate on the discussion boards. But Mr. Leblanc will make it clear what he expects, and how you can improve your grade if you want to. Overall, he's a likable guy and I learned a lot from him.

This professor is really awful, I took this class as an elective, intro to philosophy. Very hard not to fall asleep, I didnt miss any classes just walked in a bit late a couple times, i got 60% in attendance and participation,do not recommend him, your better off taking a class taught by monkeys than this guy

Not going to lie, for an intro class this professor made it tough. Weekly quizzes plus exams. Open book but half the answers he is looking for are located in one of the 20 weekly folders. Essay answers were easy to answer but the professor is a tough grader. Keep in mind, not your typical intro class.

Nice enough guy. Good use of the book which he himself has clearly read stating his own reasonable disagreements with it. His notes complimented the text without feeling too redundant or tangental. Allowed discussions to get a little heated as long as things stayed civil. Good feedback on papers.

So incredibly boring. I had an interest in philosophy but that was destroyed by this teacher. He talks nonstop giving little time for any class discussion. He counts so highly on participation that you could bring you down 2 letter grades at the end of the semester

Very good hearted, sensitive and knows his stuff. I just don't understand why people call him names. He does his work and spends the entire class time explaining and trying to make students understand. Seriously if you ask me, this guy rocks. One of the easiest As I ever got. outstanding guy.

He loves what he does. He gives a lot readings but that's what school is about, right? Loved his constant smile and dry humor and very simple mode of dressing. He also made class interesting. A very fair grader but attendance is a must. Great guy.

He is a great teacher and very funny. Many students didn't understand his humor because it is so dry but I appreciated it. He makes your presentations easy. He is a fair grader but you must do the readings and give thoughtful answers on the exams and papers. I highly recommend this teacher.

Very intellectually stimulating. Loved the way he came to class on Mondays and said "happy Monday" with a very sly smile. A lot of reading but that's what philosophy is about. It's not easy either reading Kant. But he takes the time to explain. If you attend class and do the work, You'll do fine.

He might be a good teacher if he could learn how to speak without using ugh over 500 times per class (I counted) you need to read ALOT from the book so if you don't like the subject do not take this class. He has random pop quizzes so if you don't go to class you will loose points on that and attendance. Would not recommend

I had him online for Introduction to Philosophy. His responses to my posts were thoughtful and I can tell he put thought and effort into them and really read my work. I wish however that he did partake in and monitor discussions, and not give only five question quizzes. Really sweet teacher though!

I was looking forward to this class, but was I was disappointed when I took it. There is a lot of reading. The material isn't boring, but I think he fails at teaching it in an interesting manner. He dominates the discussion, and never really lets students express their opinions fully. You don't ever deviate from the reading, which annoys me.

Professor LeBlanc makes it clear from the beginning that you will need to devote 9-12 hours per week in order to do well in his class. He was not embellishing, some weeks it was more. Tests are difficult, he gives fair and relevant feedback. He refers to Philosophy as "the love of my life" and I believe him. He is passionate about the subject!

Attendance is mandatory. He takes off a pt from your final grade for every class you missed. This class consists of many readings, weekly quizzes, and 4 250 words papers. It isn't that bad, but you MUST read & most of them are boring. The midterm and final are based on them. The professor sometimes made the class boring, but usually it's okay.
