If you want to be challenged in a college course, take him. Took him for Inter. Macro, and after reading the reviews here I was hesitant. But now I am glad I did. Throughout my entire college career I have never learned as much as I did in his class. If you put in the work, you do fine. Never actually opened the book, just went to every class

Macritchie is an excellent professor. I had him for Intermediate Macroeconomics. One of the best professors I've ever had. I learned a lot of information that I retained. If you show up to class, take detailed notes, and really do the questions in the packet for each chapter you will succeed. This is a real college course.

worst professor Ive had. he teaches the subject as we already know the material opposed to as were trying to learn the material exams are very difficult, lecture notes are not clear and graphs are very hard to interpret He will draw a graph on the board unlabeled with multiple curves meaning a million things, and does not care about student sucess

By far one of the hardest professors that I have had so far. Did not take into account that most students were adult learners with jobs outside of going to school. Homework assignments were unreasonable. Test were extremely difficult.

super hard, definitely is not helpful. subject matter was difficult and his explanations were even more confusing. Never teaches to the book, all his tests are harder than the practice tests he gives. Makes you take a test and then teaches after giving you 2 hours to complete the test.

Hands down the worst professor I've had in my education career.He does not apply content to real life and makes it far more difficult than it needs to be to make himself look smart.He teaches Graduate level Quant in the MHA program and has no regard for the learning needs of adult students or the fact that most in the class are not math majors.
