Comment:

The cryptography course was awesome and I would highly recommend it to other math majors if you have the time to take it. It does require a ton of time to complete the homework's and tests, but you learn so much and the lectures are phenomenal.

Taking a class with Doctor Spickler is incredibly difficult and time consuming. He will take your time and sap your energy, but he's also the best math teacher i've ever had. He made me want to major in math! Take him, you won't regret it.

He is a great professor, and one will be lucky to have him as one. His assignments are very challenging, and one should never procrastinate with them. If you are looking for an easy A, then you have the wrong place. He teaches above, and beyond, and really knows his stuff. I strongly recommend this professor, for CS majors, and math majors.

He is very helpful but other than that, the class was tremendously hard and frustrating. If your not a computer science major switch out! But if you need experience for programming, I recommend taking this class. Tests consist of about 10 short answer questions, writing the output to 3 programs he created and actually writing ur own 3 full programs

Spickler is GREAT. If you do your homework and study you will be fine. There is a quiz every week along with homework. He is very helpful if you go to him for help and will spend hours with you if needed. He is the best professor I have had at Salisbury yet.

Great teacher, very helpful and willing to explain things if students need help. Will take the time to work through any and all questions you may have if you are willing to go ask him about them. Very clear in explaining the subject matter, and relating is to Computer Science (as this particular course should).

Graphics is a very hard course, but Spickler is great at explaining things at a level that all students can understand. He is very helpful and willing to help, and he makes each class build upon the previous. The work he gives is tough but it promotes lifetime learning

Don't take him if you're trying to slip by Gen Eds. DO take him for Math/CS interests. This guy is a genius and a hardass both on you *and* himself. He grades hard and ruthlessly, but does an incredible job teaching. Clear, examples, patient, and a sense of humor. You WILL come out of his class bruised and wise.

The mans kinda a bum but hes willing to go out of his way to help you teach, you have to do a maple assignment every week which is kinda lame. The problem with this guy is he grades SO HARD. Got a D on the first test, C on the second, failed the final and the class. If your not good at math before you took this STAY AWAY

He is a good professor. Not perfect but he is good at explaining concepts and going over examples in class and helping you understand the material. He is very helpful outside of the classroom as well. His quizzes are unannounced and can be troublesome but if you keep up with the hw, you're good.

This class was a joke. It was filled with math and engineering majors so we all loved the topic but we dreaded this class. Over half of the classes needed an A on the final to even get a D in the class. Laughed at us when we needed help on problems he considered easy. Do a lot of work for nothing.

Where do I even start....Homework...about 50 problems every week are assigned...he grades 2 at random. Quiz every week, very difficult. Average grade in the clas....F. He gives out progress reports with every exam saying ur average with the class' average. I'm lucky I got a D.

Lots of homework, of which he graded just a little bit. Fairly tricky exams, but the content is fairly predictable: he gives samples of former exams to study through. Helpful in office, but not via email. Builds a small curve into every exam, which helped many people, so overall not as hard as others imply.

Guy is great when you corner him and learn from him but his class if you are just trying to get the grade for science majors and some math majors wrong choice he gives tons of homework and only check few and homework is big on your grade also he makes test for people who are experience in calculus if your not you will work too hard for a C

Ok great man don't get me wrong but if you just trying to get to calculus 2 and out wrong choice. HE gives like 50 problem every 2 days for homework and randomly check like 4 so all that blood sweat and tears was a waste of your life. If you don't understand or know the subject before class don't take him you will slave hard and get a Super C.

Quite possibly the best math teacher I have ever had. He does a great job explaining everything. He will take as much time as you need answering questions and working examples in front of you. If you go to class everyday you will definatlely get this stuff drilled in your head. Grades the tests very fairly and is very approachable.

He knows how to teach math to students that have a hard time learning it. He is also really fair. You will have a Maple assignment to do every week due on Friday. His tests aren't easy but learning the material from him is easy. Do homework, it helps and Maple helps you visualize the problems you do for homework. He knows how to use his resources.
