Comment:
If you get the professor for your first term at Drexel do everything you can to get out. This is the single worst professor I have ever had. Instead of learning any history at all you will instead spend your time summarizing pages from random books into a single sentence for some reason as well as exploring Stevens's obsession with citations.

With out a doubt, The worst professor I have ever had in college. HE IS NOT A HISTORY TEACHER! His class is all about grammar and bibliographies. He also makes you feel bad about yourself if you don't understand the bland material he teaches. I honestly do not understand how this man is certified to educate college students. Needless to say AVOID!

Unclear, rude, awkward, condecending. Far more concerned with grammar than history. The only times I actually learned was through my own research, never actually from him. Almost Every time I asked a question it was either left unanswered entirely or answered vaguely with a condecending tone. worst class I've ever taken, avoid at all costs

This class is a waste of time and credits, he does not care about you the student at all, all he cares about is receiving a grammatically correct paper, nothing else. He's a horrible teacher who will not care about you. AVOID ANY CLASS OF HIS

Avoid, Stevens puts little to no effort into teaching the class. if he had a style of teaching, it would be classified as awkward. i cannot believe i wasted my money on this mans idiotic lesson plans. i understand my class was a discussion class, but anything you learn from him will be through your own research. waste of time.

Though Stevens cannot teach his way out of a paper bag it is interesting to see a Marxist so well preserved and so wonderfully indifferent to reality.

He is the history department head. It's really a shame because that does not leave students with someone to complain to. I am a history "fanatic" but I never thought someone could make history so boring. I suppose if you don't like history to begin with it must be really deafening.

Although his exams seem hard, if you do your woek and study, it is possible to earn an A. In my opinion, Erik Rau is a lot harder.
