Comment:
One of the crankiest and rudest professors I've ever had. I dreaded going to class. We were assigned a lot of reading, which wasn't a ridiculous amount, but if we didn't take from thr reading what he expected, he'd criticize us. He said a lot of blunt and rude things that actually discouraged me from wanting to participate.

The tests are simple if you take good notes. He's pretty boring though, and actually made some rude comments in class. Whatever you do, do not take the 300 level with Stull. He will kill your grade. I asked for help multiple times, but it didn't matter. Te honestly grades them unfairly (mult ppl said this). Discussion sucks, worst part.

I loved Professor Stull! Although his lectures seemed boring at first, they turned out to be pretty interesting and I actually learned a lot from this class. The midterm and final were both pretty straight forward if you did the readings and paid attention in class. Discussion projects are annoying though.

Is a good teacher that knows what he's talking about. The class is pretty easy because it's just two tests. I also thought he was really funny

Dr Stull makes you work hard for the grade you get. His grading is the hardest that I have ever seen from a professor, but I wont lie, he knows his information. If you put in the work and go to class but your paper isn't good don't be surprised if it rubs off on him!

If you don't have an interest in cultural anthro, this class will be boring. Lectures are hard to get up early for in the morning, but some lectures are interesting. Discussions are mandatory, only one absence is allowed. ONLY TWO tests Midterm and Final (not cumulative). Study guide given but notes are needed to complete it.

He is boring and opinionated. His opinions appear on the test and students are expected to answer according to what Stull believes. I would NOT recommend Stull. I previously received an A in an upper level anthropology class and will be lucky to recieve a B in this class.

May come off as boring at first, but lectures are interesting. Attending discussion for participation points will save your grade. Test review is a long list of terms, but exams are doable. Does not post notes online. One quiz in discussion. Funny somtimes, wore a cow hat yesterday. I would reccommend this class.

He is very knowledgeable about the subjects he covers. Might not like him if you have conservative views concerning immigration among other things, but I loved him! He provides study guides for both tests and if you know the info on the guides you will get an A. Scared me into taking 108 instead of 308 because of his tough grading on the paper.

Overall the class was interesting. He is highly skilled when it comes to the subject matter. I'm an english major so I assumed writing a term paper would be easy but I wrong. He was not easy to approach nor was he helpful. He attacked my writing and left extremely rude comments. All I have to say for future 308 students is good luck!

Easy in the sense that you go and sit, or skip and can get notes. 2 tests are basically your only points. Got a 94 on first and high C on the 2nd. Never missed a discussion point. B in class. Second test was impossible. Good luck - very boring.

He wasn't great, but if you attend the lecture and write down the KEY POINTS from lecture then you will do fine on the midterm and the final.

TERRIBLE!!! I got high B's on the first test and the discussion and did well on the final.. but he gave me a D on the TEN PAGE term paper which accounts for 25% of your grade. He was very short when explaining why he gave me the grade he did, and his handwriting SUCKS. He also gave someone in my class an F-- how's that for a kick in the face?

he's very smart and knows what he's teaching but he also expects you to know it. his tests are pretty easy you just have to know the information -- you cannot just study your notes the night before. attending and paying attention in this class is essential

very easy class! interesting in the beginning of the semester until the midterm, then the whole meat topic got extremely redundant and boring. but that's a matter of what you like to learn about.

Pretty good class. Go to all the lectures! They're not always interesting, but it makes the tests easy if you just go and listen and take all the notes. I only have 1 complaint about Dr. Stull: he doesn't use Blackboard, so if you lose your syllabus or study guide, you're SOL. Also hates e-mails. Apparently just hates technology.
