He's my new favorite teacher. He makes history interesting. He knows his stuff and if he doesn't he will admit it! Exams 2 out of 4 essays. If you took notes in class and read over them multiple times you would do fine1/!

Funny guy. Tests are multiple choice, identification and one essay. Multiple choice are relevant but you have no idea beforehand what they'll ask. Identification are pretty easy and the essay is on a broad topic so if you understand what he's talking about you should do good on that. Lectures aren't as boring as other teachers, I'd recommend him.

What a great lecturer! Very fun and interesting. Dr. Whaley definitely made me look at things in our society in a different way. His tests were easy because there were no surprises. He tells you exactly what to study (albeit a lot) and he sticks to it. One of my favorite profs.

Very good professor and really knows what he is talking about. I like that he talks to students as though we are mature adults that can handle the truth. I did not initially want to take this class, but I learned ALOT and am very glad that I did. I would highly recommend him.
