if you enjoy feeling scatter brained take this class, although she is a plesant person to be around she is often unprepared and forgetful...she has even had a tendency to be known for loosing hw assignments and projects that students turned in.

Cant stand this woman. I have never met her in person because it is an online class. She is so disorganized, unclear, and unavailable. If you email her you never get a response and if you do she doesnt answer the question you have. The whole class is so frusturated with her. Thank god i never have to take her again. I am sure she is a nice person.

I highly suggest taking Block A before taking Strats 1, I think it would have helped me. She knows her stuff, but is very scattered an unorganized. Test are hard, assignments are difficult and unclear, all will be squeezed in at the end of the semester.

Great Teacher. A little skatter minded at times but very sweet and understanding. Assignments are not just to waste time, they back up what she has taught. Answers any question. Tests are kinda of long, but not overwhelming (except the final, that ones a little rough) Would def. take her agian.

Dr. Murphy is a passionate professor who is a great candidate to teach SPED330. However, I feel sometimes important professor qualities like attention to the syllabus schedule and returning work are put off until it is a bit of a train wreck. I chose not to discuss personal issues with her on this forum, but patience is a must with Dr. Murphy!

Dr. Murphy's class provided the foundation for my interest in direct instruction. I currently teach in Pennsylvania. Direct instruction is the only teaching method I will use in my special education reading class. It has proven to be very successful. Thanks Dr. Murphy :)

Best professor at the department. She's helpful, fun and knows her stuff. Her classes are more interesting than most others - she keeps you entertained and tells funny stories. Her projects are easy but do take lots of time. She is super busy sometimes but she goes out of your way to help. Any other professor would make class a snooze-fest.

She really knows how to stress you out. In the last two weeks of the semster she assigns two big papers/lessons plus a final. Papers were always due the day of tests. Tests were relativly easy. I didn't even open the text book. We only used her workbook. Very unorganized. However, she is helpful if you go see her in person outside of class.
