Comment:

She is a tough teacher. At least she is a pretty nice person to have a conversation with. There were only 3 exams given instead of 4. So it was hard to adjust my grade. She gave quizzes to improve our grade which for the most part helped. But she fell deeply behind and we all suffered from the amount of material on the third test and the final.

Comment:

This professor, in my opinion, failed tremendously in preparing students for exams and overall helping students to succeed. She has a very low regard for the students' understanding of the material, and did absolutely nothing to help students improve their grade. Don't take her.

Ms Wear is a bit of a space cadet! She forgets to upload things, doesn't answer emails and forgets what she was doing in class. She only gives like 5 quizzes and 4 exams, and that's about it for your grades! BUT she is a great person, very caring yet tough, and when you're in the lecture, she has a way of teaching that's easy to remember.

I had Wear for 1107 and 1108 she is a really good professor and easy to talk to outside of class if you need to understand more of the material. Make sure you come to class because she says things that will be on tests/quizzes that aren't in the powerpoint.

Dr. Wear is very knowledgeable about everything in the class, but sometimes it makes it hard to understand. You don't need the textbook, but it helps you do better on the tests because her powerpoints aren's as detailed. Get ready to study a lot because the questions are VERY specific on tests & quizzes

Dr. Wear is a great professor who really cares about her students; however, that doesnt mean her classes are easy. You must pay attention in lecture AND read the text book to get an A. If you do not pay attention in class, you may miss a small topic that is asked on the test but is not in the text book.

Everything comes from her lectures and powerpoints that she puts online. Don't bother getting the textbook because she doesn't want you spending the money and knows you don't need it unless you want more information. Her tests are pretty hard, but make sure to look at the diagrams and you will be fine.

You can definitely do well in her class if you print out the slides and take notes as she goes. Anything she writes down will be important. If you need help you can go to her office or read the book. She's very nice and labs aren't so hard.

I thoroughly enjoyed her class. Biology can be a real kicker straight out of high school, but Dr. Wear knows how to prepare you. Read every day and take notes on her little fun facts about plants, bees, or any evolution thing. Lab is easier but she tends not be as vocal in it. Her tests are from lecture so print out slides and write on them.

Dr. Wear is a great professor, and I really enjoyed her class. My best tip for upcoming students would be to make sure you write down EVERYTHING that she put on the board or say. Don't worry about the PowerPoint as much, because she post it on d2l later. Also make sure you study your notes everyday, because she will do pop quizzes. Good Luck!

Dr. Wear is a good professor. She really cares about the success of her students and has a passion for Biology and Ecology. Make sure you go to class and pay attention to her slides because she will mention things in class that you will easily over-look in the text that will be on the exams. Write EVERYTHING down in lab for the practicals.

Dr. Wear is an awesome professor. Her lectures are interesting; however, they are a little unorganized. If your are confused on anything, she has an open door policy, and is really helpful in her office hours. Make sure to write down everything she writes on the board that is not on the slides because it will most likely be on the test.

I am an honors student here and the honors courses make her class look easy. Her biggest problem is relaying wrong information. There have been several incidents where Professor Wear has digressed from the information in the book, thus she gives the students completely wrong answers during the test. Wear is even confused about what she says herself

Dr. Wear is a great professor. She is a bit scatter brained and all over the place but overall she loves what she does and is so funny to watch lecture. Expect to do a lot of out of class studying for the test, but if you are honest and a hard worker you will do well. She takes forever to grade things, and does not post grades on D2L.

Comment:

I love Dr. Wear! She is a brilliant professor who gives amazing lectures. Be warned that she can be unclear at times; however, she always explains things better when asked. You definitely have to work for your grade, but an A is definitely possible. Take her for Biology if you can! You will come out of her class knowing a lot.

Dr. Wear is an amazing lecture professor. She is clear in lecture and fair on tests. The tests are tough, but that comes with it being biology. However, Dr. Wear is a horrible lab professor and by far the worst at GRU. She makes you use the outdated labs that are on the department website that do not give detailed instructions. Labs are nightmares.

She's a really eccentric person but makes sure you have the information you need to understand the content. Time framing is not her strong suit, so expect to take tests after the other classes. She teaches by lecture and even though she posts the ppts, they aren't always the best. Lab reports after every lab and she's picky about wording.
