Comment:
Pompper is now the head of public relations at the University of Oregon. Very rude and unprofessional in lecture classes. May be more willing to help individually but has called her lecture students "scammers" and "frauds." Extremely sarcastic and aggressive with a bipolar mannerisms. I will definitely not be taking another course with her.

She is very unprofessional and makes personal comments about students in front of the entire class to embarass them. When asked a question she is aggressive, defensive and unnecessarily sarcastic. Overall, very frustrating to work under and I feel like I learned nothing from her!

Do NOT think you can go without a book in this class. Her lectures are great, but you still need to review a lot for her tests. She is a good teacher - albeit a little kooky - but she makes the class motivated and you have to stay interested each class to keep your sanity. It was fun, though.

Her tests weren't so easy, but if you read through the book and handouts at least twice, still can pass and get a high grade. I got an A. She is a nice lady.

Dr.Pompper is a good teacher.I wasn't usually bored in class even though it is 2.5 hours long! Your grade is based on 2 tests (80 percent of your grade) and participation (20 percent). That is kind of scary, but if you do your reading and pay attention in class, you will overcome. She is a little loopy though, consider yourself warned.

Like a previous user said, she seems really nice and willing to help, but she is horrible when actually approached. Sarcastic, and avoids answering even the simplest of questions concerning procedure. She nevera stops idiots who are of on tangents that have nothing to do with what's being discussed in class.

She really loves to teach and it shows. Class is not hard, but if you don't show, read, or study, you'll never get an A. She's very knowledgeable and fair -- brings in great guest speakers and uses movie clips as part of lectures. Some might think that the lollipops she gives out during movies are "elementary," but I think it makes class fun.

This class was a joke. It is really easy and the tests are basic knowledge. There is no need to even buy the book, everything comes from the lecture. She is nice, but treats her students like elementry students.

She is my absolute favorite professor at FSU. Always willing to help, as well as clarify anything you have trouble with. If you do what she asks (like in any class), you'll do well. I would recommend her to anyone taking Comm classes.

She SEEMS very nice and willing to help, but when you actually ask for the help she is rude and makes you feel stupid. The class structure is easy enough and if you do the readings, you should do fine. Just hope you never need help.

I like the fact that most of the class was based on project work. She was ALWAYS there if you wanted to meet out of class and I got a great piece for my portfolio that most students wouldn't have - a full PR plan. Too easy on grading though.

She was by far the worst professor I have ever had. Two words...MOOD SWINGS. In addition, she based her entire teaching on how bad America & capitalism are. I left the class knowing a bunch of crap theories & none that really helped in my grad career.
