The sweetest lady and she really makes the class interesting. For readings you just need to read enough to be able to incorporate the readings into the tests. the class is very straightforward and enjoyable.

Norwood is a great teacher. She is incredibly sweet and will answer any question outside of class you have. She is test heavy, 3 of them and assigns a paper which is worth 20 percent. If you pay attention and show interest youll do fine.

Professor Norwood is so sweet and is one of the most caring professors I've ever had. She has a clear plan for lectures and always takes time to answer questions and meet with students. She is quick at responding to emails and will always make time for her students. It's clear that she really cares and wants you to succeed in her class.

I love Norwood!! Such a sweet lady. Her lectures are clear, and tests are straight-forward. A large portion of your grade comes from class participation, which is easy to do as long as you show up, go to a CLP and email her about it, and pay attention. Good to take as a GER and learn more about our government. enjoyed this class!

Professor Norwood is a very sweet lady. There are around 3 tests, and if you study you will be fine. The final was not cumulative, which made it pretty easy. She will mostly tell you what you need to study, but you need to read. A lot of notes and a lot of her talking, but she is funny and enjoyable.

Prof. Norwood is a very sweet lady. You need to study for her tests but they are not hard. However, she lectures every class with no powerpoint or prepare notes. She also expects you to read but if you don't its not a big deal.

Professor Norwood is so sweet and a great lady, but if you hate lectures, I wouldn't take this class. Everyday is just a really long lecture and you need to take heavy notes to pass the class, which is difficult since she talks fast. You need to stay updated on current events to participate in class.

Dr. Norwood is one of the kindest and most accessible professors I've had in my time at Furman. She absolutely loves when you visit her during her office hours.

Love her as a person. Hilarious, very cynical politically, nice person in general. Class is ridiculously easy. Reading not necessary in the slightest. Participation grade requires off-campus attendance at events and write-ups that don't help the learning process. It made my grade worse. She's willing to help you if needed. Answers emails usually.

Dr. Norwood is the best! She is so sweet and helpful. Her lectures are a little dry, but the material is dry to begin with. Show up to class, participate by saying what your opinions about current events or ask questions. Participation matters and if you don't like to talk in class you can go to her office to talk. Rarely any HW and test are easy.

Professor Norwood is the GREATEST! She is such a sweetheart. She'll help you with your papers if you bring them in beforehand. She always says things to make the class laugh. I always enjoy going to her class. It's fairly easy and you will do well if you pay attention and take good notes. I loved her class.

TAKE HER FOR PSC 101! From everyone else I've heard, she's the easiest and best. She's a sweet elderly lady who is energetic and enthusiastic about her lecture. Participation is HUGE with her though. You have to be able to respond with your opinion during lectures. Tests are easy. A grade is achievable

Horrible. One of the worst teachers I have ever had at Furman, and I'm a senior. Norwood is a great lady, and a relatively easy grader, but she has absolutely no clue how to teach. Her lectures are rambling and unfocused. Her tests are poorly constructed. Her grading is ambiguous. All this combined with only 2 allowed absences make her a no-go.

This was a great class and I definitely recommend taking it with her! If you pay attention in class and engage in discussion, you'll learn a lot and do great! I'm not a polisci major but this class made me a lot more interested & informed in politics, so it served it's purpose. Norwood is really sweet & cares a lot about her students!

I found a huge discrepancy between the difficulty of the class and assignments versus the difficulty of the tests. It is difficult, but not impossible, to get an A in this course. Norwood's tests, but not the class, are very reading and writing intensive. Lectures are useless if you read the book, but attendance is mandatory.

Pretty much the cutest woman alive. Lectures aren't boring, lots of class discussion (which PS majors love to do anyway), and the research paper isn't bad. Unfortunately, there is a group assignment. She'll admit when she doesn't know something and won't make up an answer just to sound smart. Easy class, great lady. Every PS major should take her.
