Communications 1. I really disliked this class. I thought it was so boring and pointless. However, Doris, was a great sport. She was always in a good mood, she was happy to help, and she really tried to make the best out of what she had to teach. Im so sad to know she is retiring this year :(

Horrible teacher. Every class had us in groups, even if we were just answering questions from the textbook. Pointless exercises (we spent half of one class in a group giving each other compliments to boost each other's self-esteem!) 10% of your grade is for attendance, but the assignments can be done without ever showing up to class.

You guys are so mean! Dorris is a great prof, she actually cares about her performance and how her students are doing. Granted, she does take a large amount of time for her to move from one concept to another, but that's only because she doesn't want to leave anyone behind. There are MANY people who don't understand the concepts, just be patient!

Doris is a great teacher. For once an English teacher who doesn't stress plays(Shakespeare) that should only be for fun. It was such a relief to know there was other stuff besides that. My writing improved because of her as well.
