There is not enough space to do justice to just how awful this professor is. She can post updates about her health, but can't post assignments. Can complain about participation, but not give feedback. By week 7 we have had 1 assignment, and a quiz. Nothing else. Research paper due next week according to syllabus, but it has not been posted yet.

Comment:

Dotti Miller can be rude at times. Has shown to have a condescending attitude. Research project is by far the SCARIEST experience as a writer myself. She accused me of plagiarism. Made me correct the tiniest things just to get a grade. Her rubrics and explanations are not concise. Petty about small issues. Overall, lackluster instructor. Avoid her.

She seems to have good intentions, but that's about the only thing good I've seen from her. She doesn't believe in giving rubrics, and she's very unclear about what she wants, so good luck with your papers! She doesn't use Blackboard. While we rarely used our textbooks, she will grill you if you don't show up with EITHER one.

Had her in person for ENG101 and she was fantastic, and really wanted to take her class again for spring, couldn't do in person so I tried online. In her defense she had back issues and couldn't get to the comp. I'll try to take her for my last eng class I gotta take for Winter. (In person) In person she tries to get to know every student.

i had her for English comp. She is extremely rude and half of the time I didnt know what she was talking about ( I dont think she did either). It was like she never had a lesson plan and just went off the top of her head every morning. She was frequently late and her assignments are very unclear. She doesnt use blackboard at all. DO NOT TAKE HER!

Overall, the class isn't entirely difficult. However, Dr. Miller does a pretty good job of making this course almost unbearable. She very rarely if it all will grade work, it is very unorganized and you will feel very lost. She is a little condescending and she comes across very rude. I would not recommend taking her unless you had to!

Dr. Miller is one of the worst professors I have had. She is very condescending towards students and is not clear about her expectations. When she is asked to clarify she simply repeats herself. She is a very hard grader and views it as if her class is your only. BEWARE! I did not listen to the reviews and am paying the price. Do not take.

Seriously the worst teacher I've ever had. Everything she talks about in class doesn't relate to anything we are doing. She believes she is right about everything. I regret taking her class because now I'm not prepared for writing essays in the future. YOU WILL NEVER KNOW YOUR GRADE!!

Mrs. Miller gave a lot of lectures about her life experiences, which I enjoyed. She shaped this lectures around the stories we were reading. We had one long 6-8 page paper on Mark Twain, and a few graded classes discussions. She did not give us a grade update, which was annoying. Overall, she was alright, and I would take her again.

Never returns assignments, hope you can guess your grade. Do not expect clear directional rubrics on what she expects from the assignment. Talks about everything but the subject in class. Gets angry when you ask for clarity. Explains nothing well. Better luck doing research on your own on how to do each kind of project she assigns.

Dr. Miller is the worst professor I have EVER had. I ignored the comments here and now I am paying the price. She is self-absorbed, does not allow students to participate in discussions, and her lectures have nothing to do with the readings.
