The professor has weekly papers, group assignments and a variety of other random assignments. The class is a lot of work with constantly doing work throughout the week. BUT, she is a super fair grader and also is willing to discuss your grade if you feel unhappy. Extra Credit is offered. It's an easy class if you do your assignments.

Comment:

One of the best teachers I have had at this school. Very clear, grading scale is proportional, she gives good feedback, is involved in the class. She participates in the class. I would definitely take another class from Dr. Yaw. Highly recommended.

Dr. Yaw is great! She's very nice, supportive and provides clear instructions. If you do a good job on your assignment she will let you know, which is very encouraging. Her assignments are thorough but not too challenging. She also provided the book in PDF format which is a great money saver! I would definitely take her classes again.

She was a wonderful professor. An excellent resource. Always clear on her expectations. She will be retiring soon, so if you are required to take a class, and she is teaching it, take it. Every assignment I did for her had a reason. It never seemed like busy work. I enjoyed her class and looked forward to it every Tuesday!

ok prof. likes to watch herself of TV. has a terrible voice that will either put youo to sleep or make you hate her. talks to EVERYONE like they are 5 years old. take her if u need to, if not then find someone else.

EASIEST CLASS AT ISU! Dr. Yaw is awesome. There was a lot of interaction in this class as well as group projects. If I could take more classes with Yaw, I would. I ended up getting a 105/100. She likes to give extra credit. Not a very hard grader either.

Not very understanding. I took the class on the web and lost power at my house the day the final was due. I couldn't finish and submit it until the power returned. She didn't give me any extension until I took the issue to a higher authority. Class assignements are vauge. Don't take this course

At first, I thought I wasn't going to enjoy this class. I thought it would be a lot of fluff. Boy was I wrong. I learned more about myself and the world than I thought possible. It made me take a bigger interest in world events. Thank you, Prof. Yaw!
