Comment:
He basically lectures about random stuff the entire class. He is the entire person to talk during the entire class and no students talk at all. The class is 1 paper which includes turn in an outline, rough draft, and final draft. Then, a midterm and final. Doug is a nice man and offers his cell phone number. He tries but his class is very boring.

Comment:
Worst philosophy professor at UP. All he does in class is to talk about whatever he wants, such as current events, airplane, figure skating, etc., that has nothing to do with what we're learning in class.

easy stuff. class was boring but he doesn't take attendance. tests are multiple choice and there are only 4, and other than the paper there are no other grades, so make sure you do well on these things and you'll be ok.

Dull Dull Dull. The paper was fun to write though, since it challenges you to explain your own beliefs

The class is a bit boring, and I didn't like how the grade was based on 4 quizzes and one 10pg. paper. Prof. Donkel is really nice, maybe too nice: people would sleep in class or read and he wouldn't say anything. Don't need to come to class and don't buy all the books, just the one for quizzes.

Spend the first half of class talking about current events, or really whatever anyone in the class wants to talk about. Lectures are boring, boring, boring...tests are stricly from readings (luckily the chapters are super short). Pretty easy class though and the paper is a lot of fun.

Agree on it being easy, but you need to read the book or you will not do well on the tests. it can be fun in class with all the arguments, easy to get off track and not talk about the book at all in a day. The sport jacket and jeans are funny I would agree.

Easy, easy professor. Bit boring at times but funny when you get him riled up. He really does wear the same thing every day!

So "gang", how's it going? lol-> you gotta love the fact that he wears the same outfits all the time. the only change is the color of his polo- my roommate and I would actually place bets on what color it would be that day. lol boring, ea

I really liked him, even his lectures believe it or not! I think it was because we got to discuss stuff instead of sitting and listening to him the whole time. The book thing is true though... if you read it you will do very well in the class.

Can be dry and monotonous, but loves his material, and teaches it well if you can stay awake.
