Duke is an incredibly nice man who really puts forth effort into making sure students learn the material. Put forth some effort and you'll do fine. Act like you don't care, and he won't care about you. Its simple. Tests are essay and can be difficult if you've never taken one before. But everything you need is on the study guide so use it!

What is a guy who has only a bachelor's degree from that less-than-wonderful school, Southeastern Oklahoma State, doing teaching upper division classes? Duke has somehow managed to convince a lot of people that he is knowledgable, but as a transfer student from another university (with qualified faculty), I was shocked by how little he knew.

Duke is a legend, but only in his own mind. He never even earned a master's degree, much less a doctorate. His class was a pushover, especially if you stroked his ego by calling him "Dr. Duke," when he hasn't earned the title. He apparently has a small-man's complex, as he is very insecure and highly intolerant of anyone who disagrees wtih him.

He is a good comm. teacher. Really knows his stuff! The tests are going to be not too difficult if you study. USE the study guide to your benefit. But if you don't talk in class he gets upset. So be involved in class discussions.

Duke is probably the best teacher I've had in my life. I can't believe that people didn't like him...actually I don't know if I do believe that at all. He will help you, is the most clear professor ever and gives you THE TEST...you just have to do the study guide.Don't start the day before, you have to study a little! He's awesome!

I was so scared of this class because so many people had failed it and were taking it for like the 3rd time, but he is a great teacher and the class wasn't hard at all. It is a lot of work to study for his tests but if you can't pass it's just because you're lazy. I learned a ton from this class too.

Duke was so interesting. He keeps your attention and always tries to help if you need him. He is a funny old man who loves communication and loves to teach it to students. Don't talk while he is talking or else he will get mad. I only heard him yell at some girls once, but that was enough. His tests are kinda hard, but just study the study guide.

Duke has always been my favorite. I couldn't get in the class at first, but waited until there was an opening. He is probably one of the best teachers/professors I've ever had in college and high school. I've had him for numerous classes and love going to class everyday.
