Dr. Ingram is a good professor. For some reason he seems annoyed most of the time, but he gives good lectures and is clear about what you need to study for his tests. He provides study guides he can check for you. Theres a lot of material in this class but its doable and is pretty interesting.

Doug rocks- I took Physics II with him. Definitely need to study outside of class and do all the videos and past tests to do well. He understands its a hard class and treats everyone with respect. Clear, concise lectures. DO NOT SKIP!

Great professor, very funny. Only 3 tests, final, and lab grade (each 1/5). Study guides given for each test but you have to answer the questions and then get them checked, and he's very helpful with checking. Have to study these extensively as there is no extra credit. Lab is very very easy to ace.

Dr. Ingra is very knowledgeable and funny. He provides a study guide, update throughout the term, that lists the questions he could put on the test. He will look at your answers before the exams to verify correct answers. So, it is pretty easy to get an A as long as you attend class and have him check your answers to the study guide questions.

Dr. Ingram is a bit nerdy but in the best way! He has been one of my favorite professors so far and I wouldn't hesitate to take another class of his. Physics is tough material, but he does a really great job explaining it. He is so helpful outside of class - I've emailed him several times late at night and he always responds within an hour!

the class is hard, It won't really matter how good you think you are, his exams are just way much harder than the rest of what the reviews here say. If you don't want to feel bad abt yourself then take another professor.

Intro to Astronomy is not about stars!!!! It's a class about physics and chemistry!!! If you want a fun class I hear Archeo Astronomy or Astrology are the ones to take. At the end of the semester Ingram gives you 5 grades in your grade book: 3 tests, your lab, and your final. The tests are so dang hard so get ready to live in the library.

I don't like study guides, but there is no other choice for Dr Ingram to handle the class since it is huge (>70 students). Lectures are good, and he is passionate about the subject. Sometimes he can come across as aloof or condescending, but he is not here to please whiny lazy students, so that's ok to me.

He gives a lot of homework and a lot of materials to learn on your own, however if you don't know the material in the first place you'll find yourself trying to understand it on your own. His teaching skills are not that great and if you learn from others explaining to you, then DO NOT TAKE THIS TEACHER. Otherwise, take him

He's a good professor. 3 tests and a final. Before each test, he gives you 50 questions you answer them, (and check them with him!!!) and he will ask 8 of those questions on the test. Make sure you get your questions checked by him, and you'll do fine.

TAKE HIM! He is the only professor in the department that can teach Physics, believe me. Lectures are inspiring and clear-cut. Tests are just modified version of the homework, though you really need to work to get the grade you want. Barely need textbook. Easy A. He even exempts you from finals if you have at least 96% expected grade.

Ingram is a gem. He is super passionate about astronomy and spends the first 20 min of class just talking about a constellation. If you show up and do the study guide each week it's an easy A. He'll check your work during office hours or by email to guarantee success.

Although he makes this class sound easy, it's not. He gives you a study guide of 50-60 questions and picks 8 for exams. Keep in mind that to get full credit on most questions you will need a detailed paragraph response and a well-labeled diagram. Way too much to ask students to know that for 50-60 questions and then chose only 8. Do not recommend.

Dr. Ingram is very blunt about what you need to do to succeed in his class. If you put in a lot of effort you will do well. In my class, you can prepare for every short answer on the test ahead of time.

Dr. Ingram makes sure that you understand the material before the test. He also is pretty funny and makes the class go by pretty fast. If you need a science credit this is a course I would recommend. I knew nothing about the material going in and was still able to get an A with a little effort

Regardless of the course, Doug Ingram is the most rude and arrogant professor I have encountered at TCU. When I had questions, he would not help; his condescending attitude is sure to bring you down!

Ingram is a great professor. Most of the bad reviews are pretty old and I think that may be the reason. I took him in the summer of 15 and was amazed at how fun the class was. While you will need to put in some work the class seems like a good GPA booster.
