His tests consist of all essay questions. You get about 1 hour to answer about 30 questions so make sure you really know your stuff. Besides the 3 exams, your grade is based on 6 assignments. The criteria for the assignments is VERY vague and hardly related to the topic/s you'll be studying. He's picky with grading assignments (spelling matters).

Everyone across campus should take a class with Doug Leif. His teaching technique is unique, incomparable to anyone else. He is a big picture guy. You won't remember all the little things, but the important concepts, you will.

Takes awhile to get used to his teaching style. However once you learn it class becomes enjoyable. His tests are straight forward as long as one has been paying attention in class. His is very charismatic and wants to see all of his students gain something from his class.

I took this class online and the directions for the projects made no sense at all. I then asked the prof for help and he was very vague and unhelpful! The projects did not go with the book at all and were very hard to follow. I basically guessed at what I was doing due to lack of direction and help from the prof. DO not take this class!!

Took BUAD 3351 online. His tests did not match what chapters would be on the quiz. It is work at your own pace. To be more prepared do all the 5 power points first, read all the chapters, and then go take your three tests. I did the mistake of studying the chapters listed and was clueless come test time as it is a closed book tests.

Second class I've taken with him online. Basically no directions on the projects that we are supposed to do and the exams didn't even cover what was in the chapters. The most useless class I've ever taken. Why is it required to graduate?

Good teacher. Has a unique humor that I did not love but overall a nice guy. Take notes from his lectures on the PowerPoint printouts he gives you and you will be fine. Grammatical errors will really hurt your project scores.

Though he seems like a nice person, his courses are bizarre. The class was so disorganized in my opinion. It was so unclear what the tests would be covering. I struggled with this class not because of a difficult subject matter, but because it was extremely unclear what was expected of the student, especially for an online course.

Doug is definitely one of the most funny professors at BSU. However, at the end of the semester you may find yourself realizing you didn't learn anything. His projects are pointless and his lectures are ridiculous. Funny guy though.
