Terrible! This guy seems more concerned about students having nametags than math. He also took marks off my test for not putting page numbers. He relies on internet quizzes that are poorly coded for all assignments. The online assignments take hours to complete and if you put 56 when the answer is 56.0 you're wrong, no part marks or anything!!

For our first math test, he wasted 30 mins of test time telling us the penalties of cheating. Please stop teaching you waste of life. He will take marks off of your test because you didnt number the fcking pages on a one page test...

Doug doesn't put any effort into teaching. he has us use a program that is like a textbook online with online tests. i had to teach myself most of the material. i knew how to work the program better than he did. which is sad considering I'd never heard of the program before his class. he gives random group assignments which are irrelevant to class.

MTH148 - Hundreds of questions, fairly unreasonable online tests. (7.0 is marked wrong when he wants 7 or 7.00) PRG155 - Teaches very little, completely rewrote the labs for my class to fit his own expectations. The final project was given 2 weeks in advance, but a week into the project he made many changes to it, doubling the work. Stay away.

To be honest, he's really a nice guy. He'll give you a name tag to get 1% and cards that are also 1% to add into your final mark. He is a nice guy and his class is really easy. I suggest you take his course for Math!

i havent learn anything about programming in his class. we cant even understand whats going on in his class. i would recommend every1 to stay away from him. if you have time change your prof and if not then drop the course because you just waste your time with him and learn nothing

He was nice but his relationship with the student and his dedication shown to our education as a teacher is poor. He doesnt seem to care about us, he goes to class (barely teaching) and seems like he just wants to get it done and over with. It seems like a 9-5 job for him, Not like he a professor I have ever had. I taught myself the course.

I cant believe his still teaching. I wish he would come on this site and read what a people think of him. Its really sad that after teaching for so long people are still subjected to his crap. I took prg 155 and mth with him. He couldn't teach either. . He would always his method is right but answer was always wrong. Cant teach to save his life.

He doesn't teach anything and uses a grade 12 physics book to teach college thermodynamics. so he gives us questions out of nowhere and doesn't know how to teach. he reads the PPT in his own words which are no where close to what he gives the test on. We need to pass this course, and maybe learn something. I hope some one does something about "IT".

Doug Martin is quite a remarkable person. For over 30 years of experience in the technological industry and I suppose a decade or so of teaching experience, he somehow manages to put the title of "professor" to shame. How so? Well, he doesn't make his own notes, assignments are never related to his lectures and a whole lot more. Really a shame.
