Excellent musician with professional singing experience. He cares about his students and is interested in exposing us to all kinds of neat stuff. People who don't like him are not very dedicated and look took to put the blame on him.

i'm used to a high-caliber choir too, but student talent had little to do with it. when a choir has 40+ members, talent is a relative nonissue. our director motivated (nearly) everyone, talent or no, to put the effort in--and it sure showed. you don't need solo-caliber singers to make a great choir. just an inspiring director to pull them together.

Made choir miserable, not nice, almost failed me for being late to his class due to other class conflicts. Not flexible at all. I even helped him teach the choir pieces in other languages and the cheeky **** still almost failed me!

Doctor Rose is a good guy. He chooses great music and really loves his students. Personally, I am used to a higher caliber as my high school choir was quite intense. But, quite frankly, the talent WITHIN the choir is lacking and not many push themselves. DRR is great and we could be too if we tried.

DR is a politician. He can't dare step on anyone's toes, he is a terrible chair of the department. Choir is okay sometimes, but I wish we were required to memorize music more often, we don't have a long time in class to do it, but we would perform with so much more emotion and with a better qualit

I don't know who the rest of you are talking abou??? DRR rocks! Knows his stuff and is passionate about the music. Too bad our schedule is so limiting -- we do an amazing amount of great music in 50-minute rehearsals. Only DRR could get that much out of us!!!

I think he's a really sweet guy but I am really depressed by the caliber of our performances. We aren't held to high enough standards. The choir seems to be full of apathy. It's just so sad. I don't even know if I am going to continue in choir and I used to LOVE it.
