you dont really need the book. He can scare you at first, however you will see he is funny later. His tests are so easy, he will give you around 8 tickets (homework, multiple choices), don't ever never waste them, they are all in the test. There are papers to write but he grades them so easy and each is about 1 and half page long. Go to class.

If you don't have: sense of humor, can't take a joke, and insecure...he's not the guy for you. If you are smart, capable, and have a sense of humor...he's the guy for you. Amazing person, Navy paid for his PhD - economics is nothing but a trade-off, if you take his class you'll understand and think critically about economics for the rest of yourlif

Class is a waste of time. Only talks about the subject maybe 5% of the class. He acts like the absent-minded professor which is very annoying. Just study the homeworks and the tests are easy. The book and the class are worthless.

Amazing man and hilarious teacher. Knows his stuff! Don't buy the book just read the blackboard print outs. Never say anything bad about the wall street journal - and if he bangs his head on the chalk board whatever he is currently talking about will be on the test. If you don't plan on going to class then read the book.

Dougherty is hilarious, a genius, and very entertaining. You will learn about economics(which is pretty boring actually), in a good way. After taking Micro, Macro is a bit of a review, so not as interesting the second go round. Debates are much more interesting in class, so the more you engage the more you'll get.

I would recommend that every business student take Dr. Dougherty?s micro and macro economics classes. His is extremely passionate about everything economics and genuinely wants his students to succeed. Dr Dougherty makes his classes interesting by us using examples that students can relate too. He is a brilliant man and great professor.

My experience was horrible. Complete waste of class time was ALWAYS off topic. Had a hard time following along so many kids just stopped coming. His test questions sometimes made your head spin. Asked for help, something to bring my grade up and he said he can't do anything. Extra credit was to either go to the BSO or sing a song infront of class.

omg everyone who says that this guy is terrible is stupid, he is so easy i prob didnt even go to half the classes and i got a B plus test are easy, just print off the notes and read about them seriously anyone who doesnt get a B or better in this class should just drop outta college its so easy and Dr. D. is absolutley funny and amazing
