Dr. Barnett is the best professor I have ever had. His class is incredibly difficult. If you think you're just going to be able to memorize the information, you're wrong. You really need to understand the material. Although he's hard, he's very fair and helpful. He wants everyone to do well. He's an exceptional professor.

Great Professor!! He is exceptionally knowledgable. He does not use the book and tests are exclusive to his notes. He is passsionate about what he teaches and wants you to succeed. His exams are over roughly 45-60 pages of notes and there are 4 exams. This class is not for slackers. If you want know this material for your career then he's your guy.

Jim Barnett is my favorite professor, by far. He is always available for and open to questions. He really knows what he's talking about - he's very, very smart. He may seem stern but he does appreciate a joke once in a while. Definitely take him if you are interested in medical school.

Jim Barnett is stern, stern but fair. Notice that he is extremely hard, but extremely fair. Notice that he uses no textbook, because no textbook is smarter than him. He is also really hot, and is one of two ghost hunters on campus. He gets paid to teach, but kills ghost in his spare time.

You will find Dr. B to be extremely hard if you dont care, but for the serious bio students he is the BEST prof. The tests and quizzes are hard if you dont study, but you will learn a lot more from Dr. B then anyone else.

Not as bad as everyone makes him out to be. He gives tons of notes in class and expects you to know every inch of them. Study your notes and you will be fine. Don't ever assume you don't need to know something from your notes. Quizzes and exams are definitely do-able just requires you studying your notes.. alot.

Ok here's the deal. This is toted as the hardest class in the bio dept, but I don't know why. He gives you all the notes you need and then you just spit that back onto the test. Sure, you must study and I recommend reading your notes daily just b/c there is a lot. Other than that, consider your self getting an A. Barnett rocks.

Dr. Barnett is a seriously difficult teacher for even Bio majors (so, if you are not in bio, do not take him). He is helpful, but has also been known to make students cry. He will tell you directly to leave Biology if you are not Dr's kid or a genius. I feel that he has dedicated his job to weeding people out. Not recommended for non-bio majors. But the man is understanding of personal issues.

Dr. Barnett is a very intellegent but hard professor. He is a very good teacher and his notes are impecable but he expects you to put in the time and effort outside of the class to pass his tests. His tests are hard but not out to trick you. I have had him for several classes including being my advisor for my research project. He was always there to help me, he even went out of his way coming in on saturdays to help me, but ome reason i still got a B on my paper and was a little upset about it.
