I don't know how anyone could not admire Bleyer. First off, he looks like Santa Claus. Second, he's so kind, helpful and knowledgeable. Having tests every friday at first seems insane, but after a few, they are easy (if you work!). He also rewards his students well.

Dr Bleyer is extremely knowledgeable. He is a great teacher and very challenging. His tests are difficult but if he gives you a study guide its pretty much the exact test. Map tests every week, not difficult if you study.

Dr. Bleyer is a great teacher. He is extremely intelligent and I respect him very much. However, I have had an extremely hard time in his class this year because of the test every friday. I went to him for help and he was extrememly helpful to me. He tries to weed out those who he thinks don't belong. Overall it is hard work and challenging.

Dr. John Bleyer is more senile than my 92 year old great uncle. The man will die in glory if he ever accomplishes the most formidable task of pronouncing student's first names correctly..forget about the last names the Red Sea will part again before that happens. He conducts THE MOST confusing lectures and purposly tries to weed out the bad ones

His teaching style became a little disjointed after having a stroke. Study all you want, but if he likes you, you get to stay in the department regardless of your test scores. Despite being hard-nosed in the classroom, he really is a sweet man.

He is single-handedly responsible for my not wanting to be a teacher when I first graduated. Classes were disjointed and meaningless. Went back over a decade later to add on a certification...at least he is no longer chair. What purpose is Physical Geography really supposed to serve? If I need to find something on a map, I'll use a map!!

If you study for this class and put the time in, you will do well. By no means a breeze. An enjoyable challenge. Dr. Bleyer is handsome in a distinguished way--looks a little like Ernest Hemingway. Hemingway is God!

Loved the class!!! I found Dr. Bleyer to be so vast in knowledge and so caring about what he did. Guaranteed, this is no walk in the park class BUT, he values education and believes if you are to be a teacher you should as well.
