wonderful teacher. i am not a speaker but i loved this class. she is very welcomed to talk to if you are aging problems i missed a lot of days due to family problems but she is very understanding as long as you do every speech you will make an a. i recommend this class to everyone who wants or needs that easy grade!

I recommend her in a heart beat. She is sooo nice and a wonderful person. You don't need the textbook at all. Don't waste your money. This class was the easiest class I have taken. But she don't make you wish you were some where else. Take her! You won't regret it! Trust me! I enjy it! You will too. She is a wonderful person. TAKE IT!!!!

took her for general speech. she is easy but she is mean. if you arent prepared she will yell at you in front of everyone. she isnt afraid to speak her mind about everything and if you give a speech over a topic she doesnt like she will tell you so She is so old that she doesnt remember anything so when she says somethings due she'll forget.

I had "Dr." Newman for an interpersonal speech course in Bay City, TX. In my opinion, her teaching style is horrible for a person who has a PhD in speech. I didn't learn a thing in that class, everything I learned about interpersonal communication I found on my own. If you want an "A" and don't care to learn anything, take her - everyone gets one.
